Can't see/hear everyone in lobby/race

I was just in a room tonight where I could see the host, talk to him and everything. There was also another person in the room that I didn't even notice for a race or two. I could see him in the lobby but I couldn't hear or talk to him and I couldn't see him on track. I had no idea what he was driving or where he was at on track. Even the position tracker on the HUD didn't show him.

Can anyone tell me what is up with this? This is the first time I've ever seen this.
 
I know someone in a lobby that had the same problem. He couldn't see the third driver (we were 3) but I've never had the same experience myself...
 
Yeah nothing nec, invisible cars, that happening some tinmes, try to clear your cashe, in network settings in gt5. Some times its the host having network problem, or other people in the room.,
 
I've had this too. I remember reading somewhere that someone else removed a splitter from the dsl/phone line and it fixed the issue.
 
It is related to network issues (lag, etc). Leave the room and come back. If that doesn't work, reboot your PS3. It happens to some people more than others. It's possible its a hardware issue (occuring on older PS3s) but I have no proof to back that so I just assume its related to the network.
