When I go to my garage and i click x, it goes completely black. After a few seconds the GT logo comes up and takes me back to the home screen where the GT Auto and UCD is. Plz help. Also, I cleared my cache.

You know, I may have an idea of what it was. I'm gonna try to explain in full detail. Maybe someone can learn from it.

So I'm trying to get 1,000 in my garage so I put my gamesave in a flash drive and took it to a friends house. We bought over 200 cars on his PS3 without the update. So i came back to my house and copied the save and now I can't view the cars that I bought at his house only the ones from my own PS3.

Weird, I know. But its probably the reason.

Did you make an account on your friends PS3 identicall to the account on your PS3 at home.

I had this issue on a PS3 which was running a v1.00 copy of GT5 (as it didn't have an Internet connection at the time, in order to be able to download any updates).

Once it got connected, I had to download the PS3 system update... And then had to download the v1.13 update of GT5.

After doing this, cars bought couldn't be used. Although cars that had been bought when the account (and save game) was used on a previous PS3 were OK.

It was only cars bought on this PS3 before the GT5 update was applied (and they worked prior to the update).

Cars bought now are OK... But the affected ones can't be used... And can't even be deleted or viewed.

Very odd.

Sony don't seem to like people using the same account on more than 1 live PS3, so it comes as no surprise that the process isn't all that well supported.

That may be the case... But my son had a profile on my PS3... Then he got his own PS3. It wasn't as if he was trying to cheat the system. And it was all working 100% fine, until his PS3 (and GT5) got updated.

PLUS... It wasn't the cars bought on the first PS3 that were the problem. It was only the cars bought on the new PS3, before the updates. All of the other cars (ie. The ones bought when the profile was on another PS3) are OK.

It'd make more sense if the cars from the previous PS3 were affected. But they're not. :-(

I've had this problem a few times bit I've notice that when I logout from PSN it work correctly.
You could try that, if your connection doesn't have the speed at the moment it will slow down the game alot.
