^ Gotta be Suzuka then, since according to JP lap times @Madrid are much faster now. Also, an occurrence of the 'big one' @Madrid could skew the comparison.

Agreed, but I also wonder if the new physics and lack of slipstream could improve the driving at Madrid which might reduce the likelihood of the "big one". If drivers have better control of their Cappy they're more capable of avoiding accidents............in theory. :dunce:

So much testing to do........so little time!!

Skip the poker today. 💡

LOL!!! I've been considering it all day but one of the guys is bring Italian Beef that's been simmering in a crockpot full of seasoning/juices all day...........mmmmmmmmmmmm  Kinda hard to resist that!!!

One thing that came up last night Brandon, is that when you left, the rest of us got froze out and the track options etc. were grey. Eventually we all just left because it never cleared. Same thing happened the night before when the host left. It's happened before, but never in the Capp Lounge. I think for a while anyway, you better not leave the Lounge at any point until the racing is done for the day, just to be safe.

That's interesting. I've always wondered what happens to my lounge when I log off but nobody's ever said it caused problems. I know all my lounge settings were reset after the update, I'll double-check everything before the next lounge.

I do stay in the room as late as I can, I get up at 5am everyday for work so I go to bed a little earlier than most of you. :yuck:

Oooh now that is would be hard to pass on. My mouth drooling from tue thought. Italian Beef makes my mouth gush with saliva. I would get all graphically in ref to female body parts. But yea surely you get the jest. . .

He's brought it over before, one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten! Really can't be missing out on it, now matter how delicious Spec 2 is! :)

Coincidence? I think not!

Ouch. If you leave home in less then an hour after that - I'd say about 90% percent of Americans working daytime shifts leave later then you do.

I'm usually out of the house by around 6am and at my desk by 7. Get to leave around 3:30-4 everyday though :) , but still got that half hour drive home. :(

If the beef is that good send me the recipe...I have a giant slow cooker...lol.

It was pretty dang good, but I think he keeps his recipe under lock and key with an armed guard. :)

I will probably be online doing some testing tonight if anyone's interested. Nothing specific, just getting some more time in my "new and improved" Cappy 2.0. Probably around 7pm EDT or so, will post details here when I know for sure.

Can get a stellar recipe for Italian Beef if you would like.

I don't if you guys know this, when you make Italian beef make a load of it. It can be frozen and eaten later with little to no loss on flavor. :)

Need an Alfa Romeo for that Italian Beef Cup...lol.

That's what I was thinking. The guys on BBC Top Gear say you can't call yourself a true petrol-head until you've suffered the ownership of an Alfa. lol

Can't we have both Monaco and Spa? Those are my two favorite F1 tracks and I dont want to choose...

There is one downside to including Spa, though. It means all participants will be required to purchase the DLC.

Why not have a special non-points round at Spa each season with prize cars, that way people who get the DLC can enjoy it, but people who don't won't be screwed over?

There's no proof of this yet, people can race on a custom track that they don't have (even in seasonals) so I don't see why they couldn't run on a DLC track that they don't have.

We'll clear this hurdle when we get to it.

Good point. PD might even be forced to allow this to prevent online stability issues.

Plus it's a great way to advertise the DLC by letting people race on these tracks in somebody's lounge, they will see how awesome it is and say "man, I got to DLC me some of that Spa!!"

I think even with the new cars and interior views, it might have not been enough to fill 2 gigs of space. I think everyone has Spa, downloaded in Spec II. This way you don't have to download some huge DLC and just get the code to unlock it. And if people take Spa online people dont have to wait forever to download it off of someones ps3.

Hmm, this got me thinking. Has anyone taken a look at Arcade Mode 2.0 to see what new content is available there? I just saw a post that the karts from the DLC pack are drivable in arcade mode...

They are, and they're a blast to drive! I bump drafted an AI kart at Indy Road Course yesterday......swear to god, BUMP DRAFTED an AI kart!

I don't think any of the tracks are available in Arcade though. Oh well, only a few more days to wait!

Behold...........!!

Seriously, if you haven't tried the karts in Arcade mode with the new physics, new AI and reduced draft, I highly recommend it.

EDIT: found this real life example, man is it cool! Just after the 3:00 mark you'll see the first example of bump drafting.
