Cappuccino Cup 3: Pre-season Discussion and Registration

I should also have a lounge open tomorrow around 2pm EDT (4 hours earlier I believe) for anybody on the right-hand side of the country or across the pond. I would really like to do a full race program with the double-race, reverse grid format once or twice before we kick the season off so I can see if there's anything I haven't prepared for. If we can get at least 6 or 7 people to show up by 2:30 or 3pm EDT tomorrow we'll do a 10 minute qualifying session and then 2 10 lap races at a select track. I might even be willing to give out a prize car or 2. ;)

I'm off work tomorrow and my other race got postponed, so I can probably make it... I'd like to see if I'm as tragic as last season. 👍
 
I suppose it's only fitting that we do some racing at Monza today.....eh?? :)

Vettel killed it for me too, wtf Red Bull how?! At least the top six are only separated by five tenths! Closest Q3 in a while. Still disappointed in the Mackers, they could've killed it and chocked because of Whitemarsh yet again, he needs to GO! I need Ron Dennis BACK! :_;. Gonna be an epic race tomorrow, can't wait.

Yeah, I was just thinking that I've gotten enough lazy done this morning and it might be time to fire up the PS3. I'll get a lounge open early and just spend the rest of the afternoon in my Cappy, should be on in about 10 or 15 minutes. 👍

I've only spent about an hour in my 2010 Ferrari F1 car tuning and running around GP/F. Got into the 1:29's with no aids but AB=1.

Ok, I'm starting to work on the Official Season 3 Extra Shot! thread so I thought I'd recap real quick so everyone can know what to expect.

• Race Hard tires
• Multi-Format schedule (4 double-header races with reverse grid for 2nd race, 2 Enduro-style races with 1 mandatory pitstop).
• Same points format as last season, your best race of the week will count towards your points standing for the week. Only the 4 best out of 6 ROUNDS count at the end of the season.
• Each double-header race will pay single-points (25pts. each), Each Enduro race will pay double-points (50pts.)
• 1 bonus point for poll position, 2 bonus points for winning both double-header races in a night. In the event of a tie at the end of the season between any prize-position finishers (top 5), elapsed times from each week will be used to break the tie.

Because we end up with a large number of competitors I'm also going to award prize cars out to 5th place.
• 1st - Choice of car up to $1,000,000 Cr's
• 2nd - Choice of car up to $500,000 Cr's
• 3rd - Choice of car up to $250,000 Cr's
• 4th - Choice of car up to $100,000 Cr's
• 5th - Choice of car up to $50,000 Cr's

Good question! I thought it was but I did like those ovals we ran the other night so now I'm undecided. I made even more ovals last night.........I need to stay out of the Course Maker for a while! lol It will either be one of the ovals we ran the other night or the one I have shared for download right now. Probably the one I have shared will make it to the official schedule, you can take the whole track in 5th gear. :)

I changed it slightly, it's now a 1.7 mile oval, one that we raced the other night.

Yes, it turns left.
No, it doesn't have a jump.

It's shared for download now and I'll keep it up during the season.
 
.500 average ain't bad. ;) thank you for keeping it a left turn oval! Jumps while sweet, I can live with out. Hahaha

If you Capperino's are looking for something to do this weekend, I have an assignment for you. I'd like to have a photo of everyone's driver and car so I can maybe have some sort of Podium at the end of every week and actually have a photo of your driver in his suit/helmet to post in the Results as well as your painted up Cappy. If I have time, I'd like to do a Driver's Profile similar to what they do in the WSGTC but that will be rather time-consuming so I'm not focused on it at the moment.

I'll try to think of a good place for everyone to take a photo of their Cappy and will provide a sample shot of the angle/position I'd like so we can keep them all uniform. This is kind of a newly formed idea but I figured I'd let everyone know so they could work on it over the weekend. You can either PM me a link to your photo (from Photobucket or Imageshack) or email the files directly to me at cappuccinocupracing@gmail.com. The driver photo is my primary concern now, not worried about the photos of your car just yet. To get the photo of your driver, go to where you can select your driver outfit/helmet and click on the option to take the 9 different photos. Once you select one as your profile photo it will automatically save it into your Photo Album in GTLife. From there you can export it to your XMB and then save it onto a thumbdrive so it can be uploaded/emailed. If you have any problems getting it to work just shoot me a PM and I'll walk through it.

I'm just going to worry about the driver shots for now so I can use them on a podium. Take a couple different poses but make sure to have at least one full body shot (is there more than one?) so I can actually put your guy on the podium. :)
 
The Arms up shot would be sweet for podium art.

My photos are shared as well, 2 poses and 2 car pics I think. Looks like Tuesdays are the popular night again this season. Don't understand why more race series don't race during the week.
