Capturing a ps2 with 9800 Pro (audio problem)

I know how to capture the ps2, but i'm having a problem getting the audio along with the video. I've got a 9800 Pro and am using this to connect the ps2 to the video card:

I use Windows Media Encoder to capture. I'm just not sure what setting or options I need to select to be able to hear/capture the sound from the ps2. Any ideas? I'm sure it's something simple. It would be nice for my videos to have the car sounds in them. :boggled:

Thanks in advance for the help.

You simply lead the audio into your soundcard. The recording program should select it as the standard sound input device.

By that do you mean just plug the white rca end into the line in on my soundcard? If that is what you meant, i'm still not getting sound.

No, you need an adaptor like this (see attachment). You put the red and white plug coming from your Playstation into the rca plugs, the smaller, black plug goes into your soundcard.

Got it. :) I had to go from the line in with a different red & white rca cable and connected those two to the ps2's red & white ends.

[Edit] lol thanks. That's exactly what I just did. :) :)

Now let's see some cool vids :)

Ok another question here. When I export my video there's crackling in the sound. I'm using Adobe Premiere 7. I've got two seperate audio sections in the timeline going, one for the captured car sounds, the other for music. I know it has to be something in Premiere that's doing this because the sounds are fine in both the original captured video files as well as the music files. Problem is I don't know why it's doing it and havn't been able to find a way to fix it yet. Any ideas? Thanks.

[Edit] Fixed.
