what's better for the twisties: the Toyota Road Car (not race car), the Vette C5R, or the Oreca Vipera?

I really really like the Oreca Viper. It's got great handling dynamics, it's reasonable on tires, and it looks great. A lot of people like the C5R, but I do NOT like it at all. It uses up its front tires very quickly, and once it does, it plows like a barge.

The TS020 road car is going to be quick and light. But I'd go for the Oreca Viper. What are you using it for?

The Toyota Road Car has no customizable front downforce, so you can't make it as awesome as the racecar version. The C5R needs settings for more even tire wear, even then your front tires will still cook faster. The Oreca Viper is a perfect balance for racing, but can easily be overkill.

I agree with you Duke. I rember doing a race with the C5R in arcade mode on Trail Mountain, and the front tyres were cooked after 2 laps. I tried to drive it with the back tyres, but like Duke basicly said, it sucked. I have done the same race in a Oreca Viper, and the tyres lasted for about 4 laps if I rember correctly, so over all I would also say the Oreca Viper is the better choice! 👍

Actually, in many of those pro races and some enduros, the Oreca Viper is definitely not overkill...especially if you take it up against GT1's like the Mazda 787B, Toyota TSo20, and Nissan R390. I personally still had to restrict my power at times tho.

But my vote would be for the Vette or the Viper. Not having front downforce is okay in some situations (like if you really need a challenge and the Vette & Viper are still overkill). There were times in which I'd start some race and my O. Viper was crushing..so I'd start over with my yellow & black Ford GT40 road car which has no modifiable front force and (therefore) horrid braking capabilities.

Yeh, Viper... or GT-One.

The GT-One at least gives one an idea on how to handle high-powered race-cars, and its semi-increased ride height is still less than a Viper.

In my opinion/experiences the Toyota Road Car is one of the best 'Road Cars' for the twists and turns, meaning you can carry the most speed through the turn, and accelerate earlier out of the turn.
