my opinions:
Kei car would be nice insurance/tax-wise, but the closest thing to Kei-car we got would be Smart or those silly little four-wheeld moped-cars. though, there's Suzuki Vitara X90, I think.. basically a Capucchino with AWD and offroad capabilities and 100bhp 1.6l engine.
and prices around 10k. no thanks.
Station wagons: well, they're nice if you have to haul stuff around, but they're not exciting, onless we talk about Audi's turbocharged Quattro-models or Nissan Stageas..
Subcompacts are all over the place. and I'd love to have that kind of civic with 1.5i.. light and nimble, cheap etc..
Roadster? no thanks, we got 6 months of ice and snow here.
MINIVAN? are you out of your mind? owners of minivans are the biggest pigs on the roads! they don't give a lift for hitchhikers even if they have umpteen empty seats in the back!
Sportscar? YES PLEASE! R32 VSII will do fine.
Sedan? only Audi S/RS lineup would do the trick for me.
SUV: read minivan.
Supercar: look roadster.
hybrid: well, if it comes with optional paperbag so you won't be recognized...

Not specified on that list, but a Grand tourer would be my ideal car. Specifically the Aston Martin DB9, or the DB9 Rapide when that comes out. Other than that, there's nothing quite like a raw, thorough bred sports car like a TVR Tuscan 2 or Sagaris.

As a pickup owner/lover I am insulted that there is not a truck option on the list...
I do like sports cars, but my other favorites consist of amalgamations of a few options on the list and one option that is missing entirely, so I put other. What are these mystery cars? Sports sedans, sports wagons, and GT coupes, of course. I also like homologation specials and, most of all, sporty coupes that don't really fit the category of "sports car" (ie BMW M3 and Skyline GT-R).

But then again, my favorite car ain't there. It's a go-kart. No mass, nothing between you and the wheels but a solid frame and a steering rack with no rubber joints. Pure automotive bliss.

a SuperCar is just that super/ultra
ex. ; SLR maclauren, Muricelago, Zonda C12-S, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martins, basically a dream car that can go fast and is extremely expensive to put it simply.
Anyways my tastes:
I like a varitey of cars
Kei cars: like the cappucino, being small has its advantages 
(Compact) Sports cars: like the WRX STi 22B, AE86, Evos4&5&6, S15 slivias, Sil-80,preludes, integras, celicas.
Roadsters: MX-5, MR-S spyder, S2000 type V, Boxster S, 350Z they dont offer that much power but give u the thrill and exictement of a supercar or high end sports car.
Wagons: Volvos and Saabs, good for daily life with a hint of sport
Sports Sedans:this are good for Touring class races and are a compremise between real world accomadations and the racing blood in ur veins
minivans: absolute utility, leave' em to the soccer moms, they drive it they should engineer it too đź’ˇ and that will give peace of mind to husbands everywhere on the automotive front.
trucks: that depends on ur lifestyle, and not those posers who have a truck just becuz and never went near 100ft of mud except for the gravel on the shoulder of the road. If u live away from the cities then u just might need a truck, if ur a cityslicker stick to ur carz and dont be a gas guzzling road hog

Supercars:in my dreams, I am not even gonna own one so wats the point, and recently i have changed my thinking, and I will lean towards a knowlegelable, skilled driver, who can tune a car properly (strictly tuning no pimpin' out), a decent car like a sedan and beat out a supercar. So I am rootin' for the underdog ace ; but if it had to come down to it I would go for the ZZ II.
Sports Car: I consider this a Hot Rod class , most of them are FR with few exceptions but they are mid range price ares for alot of fun
ex. : mustang, skyline, supra, new charger, new camaro, vettes(high end hot rod, low end super/exotic car), 3000GT, NSX.

Wagon: a sedan with a big butt to haul stuff in.
Subcompact: most 3-door hatches, and the sedans they spawn, fit here.
Roadster: See sports car
Minivan: Tall, front-drive station wagon with sliding doors.
Sports car: two door, two-seat or 2x2 automobile, usually with sporting intentions. Can be convertible or coupe.
Sedan/Saloon: Normally four-door or Five-door.
Coupe: two-door, sporting version of a sedan, or a sedan-like two-door car.
SUV: tall station wagon with hinged rear doors. Car-based or truck based.
Supercar: a sports car, usually MR, meant to be limited-production, and an extremely fast range-topping model. at current, the threshold to supercardom is 600HP.
Hybrid: uses two or more types of propulsion
Musclecar: A FR, V8 vehicle, Intermediate in size, can have two or four doors, does not have to be American. usually based on inexpensive model. Can apply to '60s V8 compacts.
Ponycar: A smaller, FR sporting coupe, with a V8. (Ford Mustang)
Truck: vehicle with an open area at the back for moving cargo. Honda Ridgeline, Chevrolet El Camino, Ford Ranchero, Dodge Rampage barely qualify.

-> Wagons all the way for me, they have better weight distribution and given to its heftier weight, its a lot more stable on the freeways. Plus you can haul ass and kick ass! Too bad there is no love for the wagon.

lol a wagon lover thats cool dont fret i am on ur side like i said above wagons: saabs volvo good for cargo and with a hint of sport, and today wagons are you could say X-overs between sport and utility without having to resort to high Center of gravity
P.S. my dad owns a forrester 2.5L, lol i convinced him to buy subaru out of the blue, even when he wanted to ardently stick to some thing american (its a shame though i didnt have the convincing power to make him buy a model from the impreza line )

I've always been a sport sedan kinda guy, but it is tough to pick just one style. So many of my favorite cars are coupes and "sports cars," while many of them are wagons and sedans as well. But when it comes down to a day-to-day basis, nothing does it better than your regular sedan. Of course my favorite will probably be the E39 M5, but the next-generation Impala SS or Pontiac G8 GXP could take that title away as early as next year...
