Car Counts? How many to keep around?

Just a thought i wanted some feedback on. I go through a debate every time I turn on the game (GT3). I like to collect cars, but then i get frustrated by too many, i mean 200 in the garage:eek: Just wanted to know from others, are you a glutton and collect as many as you can or focus on a dozen or so and really tweek your performance on them. Also, do cars drop performance at any mileage point, the most ive put on any one car is about a thousand so thanks.
 
it would be real nice to be able to organize them the way you want so u can put the favorites at top and then have all the rest
 
The garage will hold 200 cars.
I have well over 100 in my garage on my "comps" memory card.
I like to have several of certain cars. Usually I have about 3 of each Tuner S2000 hanging about, in different colors and set up for different kinds of driving.
I keep a bunch of Lancers around, but I rarely drive them. But I used to use them all the time in Cost based Comps because the entry cost is so low. If you have a 30-50,000 cost limit for car and mods, a Lancer will allow 24,000+ in mods.
I also like to have all the cars you can only win once. Like the Trueno SS. I have also bought some of the forgotten ones.
Lotus Esprit, Jag XKR, AM Vantage, etc. just because I like having them around.
I do wish the garage would STAY sorted like in GT2. But as GT2 was the only one of the three that had that feature, I'm not holding my breath.
 
I have every single car in the game, with all the best parts...so I guess I'm the collector dude.
Only ever sell duplicates of cars I don't like, but the doubles I keep have to be of a car I like a lot.

Yeah right...The FIAT isn't even good enough to beat the whole game with! I personally do not collect every car in the game, because I won't use half of them anyway.
 
I sold a bunch of the prizes I got in Beginner, and I wish I hadn't. I have kept almost everything I've won since then, and I've tried not to sell any of the uniques. I have sold duplicates of dull or purchasable cars. I think my only current double is the 787B; I'm sandbagging a fresh one since it is such an amazng car.

The more the merrier! I still drive some of my early-game cars, and I want to experience as many as possible.
 
I'm pretty much collecting cars right now. Lately I've had the urge to start another game and keep my car count to a minimum. I've currently got just over 80 cars. (Not a lot, but enough to aggravate me when looking for a certain one.):eek:
 
I keep most of my cars, but I'm not afraid to sell the ones that I know I'll never use (or don't enjoy using), though as several members can tell you, I sold a few cars I shouldn't have earlier in the game. :O But anyway, I do like to keep my garage clean and weed out all of the "unnecessaries".

Same here, more or less.

Like the Vanquish, I sold that because I got a pink one...without the knowledge the only other way I could win it was to gold IA licence :banghead:
 
Ahh the random? color picker. I think it is a practical joke. I have won cars ranging from pink to puke green to orange-brown. One of the only nice paint jobs I got was an NSX that transitions from green to blue...chameleon-style.

Ha ha, I did the exact same thing... I won the fugly pink Vanquish, sold, and only later did I realize that it's only available through a round of gold medals on IA... But it was well worth it. :) The IA license test yields a British Racing Green Vanquish, by far the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And it's all mine now!
 
i only keep the cars that i like.... i have sold most race cars cept for poly 001, astra and altezza LM.
i have aq handful of normal cars too..
 
I have a white Vanquish, but in Concept I can choose any colour I want...;)

The only car I have doubles of besides the F1s are the Speed 12s...:D planning on getting a few ZZIIs though. ;)
 
lol i wanna get doubles of every car i like... organize on two mems... no doubles of ff or f1... mainly for drifting funa nd being able to recognize the different cars lol... and what if i wanna drive a red one and then a black one...

I agree the more cars the better. For example I have like 115 cars at 88% complete but I have 2 vitzs 2 elises 2 Pagani Zonda Race cars 2 Vanquish 2 Escudo 2 Pt Cruisers 2 miatas etc.
 
yeah, I wish that feature in GT2 was back, where u press start and the selected car went to the top of the list, ANYWAYS, i keep about 34 cars in my garage,


46.2% complete
 
4 cars, so far. Haven't sold any because everyone regrets selling the early prize cars.

Beh.
