I don't think this has been mentioned before but.
However what would you prefer to be in gt5

Would you prefer to have dealership cycles like in gtpsp where the certain dealers are only open everyday

gt5p/gt4 style any car available on any day

Any new or other ideas that are different to the above.

Personally i prefer gt5p style however its a poll so its up to you.

go people vote.

Like GT4, please.

There are different countries. Different manufacturers are from different countries. Then we go the the designated world locations and find them!

Simple. Effective. Educative.

If anybody votes for GTPSP style, we need to be able to identify them. That person is completely insane and poses a danger to society.

But GT4 did a great job, so that.

It should be like in the CES demo, all one makers cars visible in a "shop", hangar, or something like that.

Thread title and poll options edited to reflect minimum expectations of English from an English member who has already seen moderator intervention due to his extreme laziness with the language.

GTPSP's format was easier to chronicle - by the end of day 69, you knew all the cars from all the manufacturers - so from a selfish point of view, I'd go for that. But I prefer GT4's method. For used cars... I think GT4 nicks it again. Though the GT2-style of used cars listed by manufacturer has its merits, having them all in one (well three) place is much easier for us list compilers.

GTPSP seems like too much trouble for buying that exact car you want, so no. GT5P seems to cold, I dislike having all manufacturers in the same menu so I'll take GT4 style car dealerships.

It may sound childish, but it gave me a "around the world" feeling that I just don't get with the "all in one" dealerships.

I prefer GT World map like in GT4.
Showroom in GT5P is nice enough, but it would be even better if it adds the information about the colour of the car you already owned like in PSP.
However it would be awesome if you can check out the interior (maybe rev it like in TDU). At least it can show off PD's effort even the cockpit view is not everyone's cup of tea.

I liked GT4's menu the best, I think it did the best as showing locations of the manufacturer.

The less clicking the better in any case, GT4 was a nightmare in that regard!!!

Off course if GT5 allowed you to use a mouse, then things might be different....

I would like GT4 style, but maybe more randomized (sorry, Famine?). It just sort of seems weird that we would all be waiting for week 25 for that particular same car. It also might be nice if used cars were not just limited to mostly lower end vehicles. Obviously the real world market is swamped by cars we wouldn't want to race, but there are people who get tired of their M5s and the like. It also might be nice for there to be a showroom of used performance tuned cars (i.e. Mines Evo, etc.) and used race cars (like DTM cars or JGTC). I guess I don't know what usually happens to race cars after they retire, but I know what I would like to do with them, if given the chance...

I suppose I will vote other...
Although I do like the dealership setup of GT4

I'll post again to further my point. I think GT5 should use the GT5P background (black theme with the manufacturers placed into perfect squares) It's very neat compared to GT4.

Sort of like this, except the cars are replaced with the manufacturer names.

And that GT5P set up needs to be accessed like that of GT4, where you have to go to the right region. Then the corresponding manufacturers to that region will appear like the cars do above. Nice and neat in squares.

So a mix of GT5P and GT4 would be ideal.

I have to be honest with this, I want everything the way it was in Gt4 over GT5 P or GT: PSP, by that I mean, GT5 features, graphics, physics etc with the Gt4 menu style with maybe some changes to make it look new again. I have said it 1 million times over and over, GT4 menu was not broken, it was unique, it showed how epic the game was changing it to a GT PSP or GT5 Prologue menu makes the game simply look like another Need for speed or Forza. Why fix something that isnt broken?

it was broke for me, zig-zagging everywhere, click infested menus and what not
It's no longer the 90s anymore

Trying to use a controller with a pseudo mouse pointer style system is a FAIL

How on earth is that 90's style.... and if you think so good :) because some things in the 90's were so much better then they are now *cough* music *cough* but anyways thats another topic. The key is though making it unique from the other games, heck GT is the only series I can remember to deploy that map menu, take a look back in time to the 90's all I see is Gran turismo 5 prologue menu styles, from need for speed, colin mc rae to V-rally. Too bad for you the map configuration was confirmed at the TGS, looks like you will have to put up with the 1990's style a bit longer ;) hehe.

I would really really like to see a 3D view from inside a showroom where you can see all the cars parked, just like in a showroom. I think it would be awesome to feel like you were standing inside a Ferrari dealership, and be able to look around and pick the car you want. Being able to walk around the shop would be interesting, but I think that would be a little over-the-top.

Other than that, I can't really say which of those I'd rather have, 'cause I'd only ever played GT5P to an extent.

GT4 style, as many others have said. The GT5P and GTPSP styles were both pretty bad in my opinion.

How about something better than GT4 style? A new style? A something good for 2010 :)
Knowing PD, I'm sure it'll be different from previous GTs

It gets boring experiencing the same thing over and over, from GT to GT4....

I preferred GT3s style. All Manufactures under one car dealer menu and then split into the different countries. Would definitely be cool if you can walk around the dealer ship like in Project Gothem Racing 2 (not played 3 or 4).
Im just not a fan of the very large home screen on GT4. But thats just nit picking.
