Anybody else think this new Car Delivery system is pointless? In previous GTs, when you won a prize car, you were presented with it right after the race. Now you have to go to the home screen, click on the little truck, choose your voucher, then deliver the car. There is no option to do all the cars at once. It took me 10 minutes yetsterday to "deliver" 7 prize cars. It's a tidious and pointless process, just an unnecessary extra step. There is even an option to not deliver it. Like you can turn down a free car :lol:
 
When procrastination was a part of the development, it's to be expected within the game itself!

Well the car delivery I think, is most for the online feature.
Because you can gift a car to your friend to use, but I guess PD used it for single player too.

Well I guess the idea was so that you win the cars in GT life and gift them online, surely you can't win cars online?
 
I think its cool because you can not take the car and gift it to a friend. Thats kind of neat.

The thing I dont like about it is you cant preview the car or specs before accepting the ticket.
 
Too bad it doesn't show the car rolling off of the truck like in Ridge Racer.
 
it sucked when I found that out after golding the B license and getting 3 cars for it. That took like 15 minutes in the car delivery screen lol.
 
Yes, it's annoying. Almost as annoying as doing tests where you can fail and the computer crashing into you as you pass and making you fail. Also, it's as annoying as them putting in the Silver replays but not Gold as a standard. Also it's annoying to not be able to pick what car I want to start with. God forbid the stupid used cars ever let me find my SRT-4, cause I have like 300K+ and haven't bought a car yet. Why can't they have majority of the used cars be at the lot at all times. This random thing is super annoying. Yes ladies, I started with a Go-Kart, not a car. Why in the hell are there so many restrictions when playing GT5, it's very annoying to just do as you wish. Cause you can't. I can't even test my cars anymore, no 400/1000/top-speed sections like all previous GT games. Is there nothing to do besides race anymore. All the little enjoyment aspects are missing. They make Top Gears stupid test track but they forget their own test track. They didn't even bother putting the tests in that track. Like SERIOUSLY PD, you guys are brain dead.

Last but not least, there is hardly any events like there was in GT4 in each license section. Really, putting random racing series is hard to do and pick some random prize? You made the tracks and cars, it takes no time to make another bull-**** race. It's just not a lot. And Nascar blows, so not fun with a dual-shock right now. It's the worst thing imaginable. Good choice to cut out old features to make this instead (not). Swell use of time all around!

Don't get me wrong, I am having fun but where is all the crap I expect... It's so empty.

the kart races are easy cash. And I wonder if there will be another situation where a specific car will only be available in the used lot on one specific day :nervous: I think the Subaru 360 was one of those in GT2 or 4.
 
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It takes WAY too long to deliver the cars.

The delivery music is also very annoying. And then it takes 17 minutes to get back to GT Home from the delivery screen. Uggh.
 
I think it's great. I remember playing past GT games and recieving cars I didn't want, or I wanted to keep game experience as real as possiable by using only one vehicle in garage.

I just "favorite" mine. Good feature btw. Others are out of mind, and out of sight. :)
 
Hmm, what are you all complaining about? I didn't think the car delivery system was overly slow or annoying. It's actually sorta nice that they don't force you to watch the prize car presentation until you feel like it.

I think its a great feature. If its taking so long maybe its because of your game isnt fully installed ?

btw, its really really sad to see so many hate on the forums. I know that some things arent alright but damn, people are just exaggerating with the hate. Its getting annoying. Cmon, calm down guys.
 
Does anybody know that if we gift a car, we keep a copy? I read somewhere that you keep a copy for yourself, but after all these missing features I wouldn't bet my life on it. Or my cars for that matter.
 
I just hope they patch in a way to do delivery of all cars at once, other than that I'm fine with it.
 
It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to wait, you know, 30 seconds to load our "My Page" again (after car delivery).
 
if you log off PSN the My Page load is much quicker. There's a problem with the online stuff that's slowing down everything else in the offline game.
 
Why are you all so surprised? Every GT game has had a 15-30+ second loading time for every single screen. It's extremely annoying but it's nothing new. They should have made it load quicker before they started anything else in the design process.

say what? I think it's fine now, but when it was the first time it was slow. Loading is going a lot faster now.

Everytime you return to your homepage the game connects to the servers (Checks gifts and messages). They were having server problems. If you log out of psn and accept the cars it will load quicker :-D

Feel you man. I've been looking to get an e46 M3 form the used lot can't seem to come across one. In reality we only get about 300 cars to play with. The rest are a hit or miss. You can play the whole game and if one time you don't check the used cars section, you might miss the car you want. Pretty dumb I donno why they did this
 
So let me get this right. The point of the car delivery / ticket system is to be able gift cars to friends. Why can't we just gift cars already in our garage at any point in the game?
 
I like it 'cause you can do a bunch of races without them being interupted by the "prize car" screen. And when you're done racing you've got all your prize cars waiting for you. The deal with the vouchers is that you can just sell the car instantly without it going into your garage or pass of some crappy car off to a friend. :P
