Car descriptions (within the game)

I'm starting to get REALLY pissed that they left the car descriptions out of the American version. I have the game and I can't find them anywhere. Somebody please help! :(
 
There is also no Car Descriptions in the PAL version the game ... and nowhere that I can see how to turn it on or off ... I think they just left it out, plain and simple ... 👎

I've had the game a month as of today and have played every day. I have yet to see what could be described as a car description.

I have heard/read people at PD say they want this to be an encyclopedia for cars. I definitely saw that happening with the number of cars and the "special" cars. The "special" cars especially made it seem like it was an encyclopedia of cars (albeit mostly Japanese) with a racing theme. Unfortunately I believe the definition of encyclopedia got lost in translation somewhere. To me it would seem an encyclopedia would have a detailed description of whatever the topic is.

Another thought is that they have dropped the encyclopedia idea and are going for the pure driving simulator. It could be a pure racing simulator but the inability to race the "special" cars removes that aspect.

In short--No. :grumpy:

I am also very disappointed that they left out car descriptions in the us version. I think that is really cheap if they really are in the Japanese version.

Maybe the stragegy guide will have them....if it ever comes out
 
Thx guys I just needed to be 100% sure. Like you all have said, I can't believe they neglected to put the in-game car descriptions/info in GT4. Its been in EVERY previous GT game and it was VERY helpful for differentiating between the different type of Lancers/Skylines/Imprezas/etc.

There are so many cars in-game that I have no understading of. Aside from basic specs (hp, weight, torque, etc) we get nothing. Way to drop the ball PD.

I was wondering if there was anyplace to get the in game car descriptions, for instance a translation of the ones that I've heard are in the Japanese version of the game. If anyone knows that would be unbelievingly awesome.
 
Umm...did you not just read the last few posts? No, there is no way to see car descriptions in the NA/PAL/whatever else versions of GT4. NO! ...unfortunately.
