Hi All,

Been having a heck of a battle in the Pro All star series in GT3!! My motor light is on and the car seems to be sliding backwards in balance as I try and finish this series I'm up 50pts with 5 to go. Will my car last even with the red light on?

Did my car (Esperante GTR-1) die when in coasted to a stop and my pedals (Logitech GT4 wheel) went dead???? I did a reset and they came back on but they just quit working. Wheel worked but not pedals.

I guess big question is the red engine light with 5 races to go going to kill my chances?
Is there anyway to change oil in middle of a series?
Does this incredible game have any wear issues with any part of the car except tires when racing?

I'm new. Glad to be here and Thanks a Bunch!!

Regards,

No (although you'll be 5% down on power), no and no.

Welcome to GTP! :D

It seems I've been having the same problem with my DFP. What you have to do is unplug the wheel from your PS2 AND the power outlet, then plug the outlet first then the PS2 usb. Reset it to your settings (60%ff or 100%, 200/900 deg), then play again. It will fix any problems with the wheel. If you still have the problem, try doing a pit stop (if you know what one is (not meaning your an idiot, just some people....)), if there is still a problem, can't help you...

Hi All,

Thanks for the fast reply!! I did a reset as you described and got the pedals back and went on to a 2nd in the 6th race. 👍

Are you having to reset often? Because I've used these HARD for about 3-4 weeks now w/out problem. I drive mostly with the accelerator anyway. Just a brake tapper I am.. :)

Thanks Again!!!

OH my setup is the new "Black" colored wheel from the local store. Has GT on the wheel and supposedly is more for GT4 as a couple of it's functions don't work. Read that here in the forums somewhere.. It won't go more than 200' for with GT3. But has ability for 900' Right?

The Logitech Driving Force Pro. Yes - it's got a 900 degree mode which is great with GT4 Prologue... :D

It happens to me way-too-much. Inorder to stop it, you got press the gas smoothly instead of just pressing it down quickly and flooring it. But if you smoothly just go down slowly on the gas, it really works. But I wish Logitech gives up advice on how to fix this, I mean I would buy something to stop it.

You're complaining about a 150$ wheel!? I'd be happy just to HAVE one of those, who cares if it works? And about the oil light, don't pay any attention to that, it will never affect performance enough for you to care about it:)

The fact that it cost $150 and has problems is something to complain about if you ask me.

Well my $20 DS2 hasn't gotten any complaints from me yet, and it handles most any car just fine. Took a while to get used to only turning at half capacity though.

I'll see how it goes. I know what you mean about some of the less expensive ones. I have a ten y/o flightsim yoke that is still my choice to this day.

Regards,
:)

I have a logitech Pro wheel as well. For 150.00 it shouldnt have these bugs. But they could be caused by GT3? I know logitech developed this wheel for GT4 under PD's supervision.

My wheel locking up on me has caused me a few OLR headaches
But they rarely happen so thats a good thing. Its happened to me twice so far and I've had it for about 2 months.

Be prepared 3rdgenracerX & DouglasJets: :odd: I've had mine only about a month longer than you (3rdgenracerX) & mine "Freaks Out" fairly regularly, even w/GT4Prologue! Usually only during "Extended" driving sessions however. I've tried the "Fixes" associated w/my old MOMO & Blue wheel & while the DFP Glitches less often it still Glitches which is a bit of a letdown. Try plugging the transformer into a different outlet than the PS2 is attached to (Preferably on another circuit) as this seems to help, if only just a little. The loss of "Feedback" only Glitch is less of a headache, just wait 'till the next straight, pause & reboot the USB plug. Good Luck...UB57 :D

BTW: Welcome to the GTP Forums DouglasJets 👍 A Most Outstnding source of info for the GT Series!!!

In light of all this... Twiddlin' is looking pretty good :D
Hey phattboy!!! If I "Twiddled" as well as you I'd probably use the DS2 as well! But as I've stated before, I've owned 29 cars in my life & not one of them drove w/Joysticks. Guess you really can't teach an "Old Dog" New Tricks eh???:lol::lol: ...UB57 :D

I agree Phattboy! :sly:

Never have seen the need to waste money on a fancy controller! Hell, even with GT3 I'm still using the D-pad as I can't get used to the Analogue sticks! :ouch:

Comes from growing up on GT and GT2 on PS1 and not actually owning a DS controller until I got a PS2! Got 100% on both games several times though!

Now up to my 4th attempt at GT3 (got 3 x 100% with auto) now trying manual, took a while to learn, but doing all the arcade mode in a Mini Cooper sorted that!

At 60%-ish at the moment, but haven't touched hardly any of the beginner league or amatuer leagues, except Euro championship to win a Mini, and Lightweight K-series to win, you guessed it, a Mini! :dopey:

All of arcade, Time trials, Gold licences, enduros and most of Professional are complete at the moment. Not too worried about # of days or 100% win ratio, just having fun! Done Formula GT fully in 4 of the F1s so far! Trying to make sure I've won one of everything available in Pro league and enduros, and driven them before I regress to the lower leagues! :)

 Guess not  I gotta tell ya though, I've owned a lot of cars in my life too but they actually took you someplace other than your couch! :D

@ Smallhorses

Sounds like you've gone through the game "mini" times

Bob did your's freak out when you went full lock left or right? It happpened again last night while I was working on a Team-IR race, and it happened when I was at full lock turned to the right. I think if you exceede the 180* of rotation it freaks the wheel out.

That was the same thing that happened to me on anther race where I was turning hard left and the wheel freaked out.
