Car for First Rally Competition

In GT Life, I am having trouble finding a car for the first rally competition under 246 HP or whatever. Any suggestions?

For the beginner rally races, I used the Volvo S30 (available in the new car dealership) for the dirt and snow races. Just don't do too much to the engine or your horsepower will be too high. I actually passed cars in these races. I think I used the Honda Motul for the tarmac races, but can't really remember.

Peugeot 106 Rallye in the Used Car Dealership for ~10.000, engine and turbo Level 2, 6 speed gearbox (if you can afford the fully customizable one, install it, if you are low on money the 6-speed will do the job but you'll have to be very fast on the corners), all the exhaust upgrades, eight reduction level 2 and don't brake on corners.

I used a Nissan Sileighty '98 (tuned it up a whisker)
You get the car through one of the lower-tier A-Spec Races

I thought I was being clever when I found a Toyota Celica 4wd turbo from 1991 (I think)..

I lightened it, changed the oil and just kept it under the 246bhp limit.. I fitted some dirt tyres and away I went..

I then promptly failed the test....

I was about 200kgs heavier than the AI cars..

Go for something light..

As mentioned above, Peugeot 106 Rallye would be a good choice, but basically, keep the weight down..

Lancia Delta from Dealership - 4WD has 202bhp stock so easy and cheap to tune to 246bhp and it rocks. Plus you can soup it upto the 345bhp when you get to intermediates...

Lancia Delta from the Dealership. Won it with ease. For the intermediate and advanced rally use the C4 you get from the Sebastien Loeb challenge

I just bought an Audi TT since it was AWD and upgraded to 246 and lightened to the minimum. I was easily able to beat the competition with this setup.

The first event with the FF car under 250 HP?

Easy thing. Mini Cooper S. Do some slight tuning, buy Soft Sports tires and you're done. The car is in the premium dealerships, you just buy the cheap performance mods (Oil change, ECU, Sports catalytic converter, Racing Filter) and beast the competition. The car will then be useful for the Mini challenge both in A and B spec 👍.

I love this little car, it's a rally champion. Believe me.

For the second event (4WD Car around 300HP) I used the same formula but with a Impreza WRX STI '10. Again, fantastic car to drive and good enough to beat the competition.

After clearing the second level Rallies you should get a gift ticket for a rally car, which you should use for the top level Rally.

Thought my dad was nuts driving a Mini around a rally track earlier. Vouching for the Subaru Impreza, flawless in rallying.

I used a VW Golf GTI, used, HP so close to 246 that I couldn't even chance an oil change. Lightened it and that's all. It was this one, I think: Volkswagen Golf IV R32 ‘03. 4WD, for sure. I tried many cars, but I couldn't pass the gravel and asphalt tests until I used this one. It was easy - finally!

For Intermediate rally, I used a Subaru Imprezza Rally Car. Good luck!
