so i took my brand new LMP car from the OCD for a spin.. i hit the wall pretty hard and my i saw the wing was bent on chase cam but since the car is a LMP with no roof it has a real cockpit so i changed to cockpit cam, looked back and the wing was perfectly straight what the!?

I dont think you were looking at the same part of the wing, some cars have a double wing.

I'm going to guess that when PD modeled the open-top interiors, they choose not to have the damage show up in the view (probably to save time/work/money). I could've sworn i'd seen damage to my FGT from cockpit-cam though...

Why be so shocked?
The game is not perfect, everyone knows that, just enjoy what's there.
PD obviously hasn't modelled it in, and really it's pointless modelling it anyways, you aren't going to race looking backwards.
And they were probably hoping someone driving a LMP car would of had a bit of experience and not of crashed it so hard.

^^ Yep, as mentioned above, the game is not perfect.

Similar scenario the other day, I went in way too hard at a bend, took out the poor guy in front (AI) and smashed my R35 to pieces.. (very bent)

Watched the replay to get some damage pics, which come out pretty good. But when I rewound to just before impact the second time, my car ALREADY had damage....

Although the Redbull X1 is a premium car but you can crash it as many times as you want and only the color will change from the front
