Car Icon missing

My fatty died so I bought a new slim, I did all the steps in the manual to transfer all my ps3 content from the old to the new console with the data transfer utility. I also made sure to activate my account in the network.
My career save is fine, all the trophies, the collectable cars are in the garage.
The funny thing is the small car icons for some of the cars in my garage are missing, not all of them but most of them. How can I change that? I haven't seen anyone with this problem, the game runs fine it's just annoying.

The game once hung when I was collecting a prize car so I had to reboot my PS3. Ever since, the car I was collecting at the time was missing its icon in the garage...until I read this thread
