You are ok in my books...
Truth told I am 62 and with dexterity issues and I do the best i can.
You only say I'm okay because you haven't seen me crash out every other race in our weekly lobbies

It's admirable that you're keeping active despite your age and dexterity issues. You've got spirit, and I think you should be proud of that :)

Hello all, I made a run of Fuji with my GT-R and finding out the bloody track is a bit slippy early in mornings...I tried my best and posted my replay with COTW in keyword.
Also my best lap was a restart after making a mess of constant slides way off the track which do not register with track limit penalties and I will not post sloppy laps...
Here is my live video of that best lap, I always use the apex markers and braking zone assists as I never remember where to apply my brakes at same place consistently...

And a screen of my best time...

Thank you and I will try to be at weekly lobby...tonight at 10 CST

Maybe I should have been the first to put out a time since I chose it anyway. But better a day late than never?
Overall the car has the tendency to slip a bit, or understeer on exits when you least wanted it to. It doesn't help that Fuji is the kind of track to torture your tires or smoothness in a lap. But we all have that little masochist in us.

The best I can do for now is a 1:49.686.

Hello there

The GT-R '24 is car that represents a love and hate situation for me. When it first came out I simply hated it while driving it at the online time trial challenge at Nurburgring Short GP layout. The car was a mess. A huge one. No breaks, too much side leaning, too much slide action and to add salt in the wound I just can't stand the Nurb GP layout. The 1st sector is pain.

However, as the time passed by and I kept trying to reach the 3% golden zone, I started to understand the car. Driving this car requires some patience, you gotta be aware that overdriving brings you no reward but only frustation. That lap time challenge taught me the values of the slow in fast out concept and got me a feeling of when a car grips and then you are good to hit the gas and go.

After that I made some small tweaks in the suspension and since then I love it. This particular car I used in this COTW challenge is the very same I bought when the GT-R '24 came to the game and this is a rare thing for me, keeping the same copy for so long. For the COTW challenge I set the suspension back to default and did the same with the GT auto aero parts though.

The challenge itself... I hate Fuji's 3rd sector. Opening up those turns is a forever mystery for me. I know I lost my 49's there. But I happly settle for the 1:50:573 because the 30 minutes I spent driving the Godzilla there were quality time.

The lap:

I tried something different and crammed all three replays into one upload. (Chase, onboard and replay) Replay shared in my GT7 page (#cotw #gtplanet)

Cheers!

Edit: typos and grammar corrected. 😅
