Car Parking Rage.

Here's just a quick story on why I started this thread:

Okay, so its the 28th December and the Winter Sales are in full swing and everywhere is bedlem.. Me and my family decide to go to an out-of-town shopping centre (Fforestfach-if you can pronounce it...) and eventually find a car parking space.
Well we've done some shopping, bought a few things (including 2 new memory cards) and have got back into the car at the car park. Now people are still trying to find spaces so as we revers we notice a Renault Clio is waiting.Okay. But a second later there is also a Rover 75 on the other side of us also waiting to get in. And another second later they both realise they are vying for the same spot and so the 'silent' fight begins.
Well at this point my dad's getting annoyed. He wants to get home and away from all the traffic but we are blocked in (We were in the Previa which needs a fair amount of space when reversing out.). About 2 minutes later they are still arguing so luckily we are in an end space, but theres a small pavement blocking us in. So my dad just drives up on it (No doubt harming the Pirelli P6000s ) and off we go, eventually seeing the Clio pulling into our vacated space.

For those who just read that well done, for those who didn't, shame on you.
Now although there wasn't any 'rage', it wasn't exactly a polite exchange.

So, what agravating experiences have you had in car parks?

that's it? Last year and in previous years, there have been several extremely violent incidents related to parking lot rage during the christmas rush. Once or twice, people have been shot at. Other times, it's been fights or stabbings. It's horrible what people will do in order to go shopping at the mall to buy things that haven't even been marked down.

I know my experience wasn't bad. But I'm asking about other peoples mainly.

I haven't heard of many stabbings about parking. But there have been a few traffic light incidents and such.

We only saw one event happen to someone else. This couple just pulled in and got out of their car. A second later a couple pulled behind them and I heard her ask politely " can we please have that spot because I cant walk very far" the other parked couple just walked away. The funny part was that right in front of the parked couple was a vacant spot. All the people would have to do is drive around and park in that spot. So then the people that were asking took off really fast thru the parking lot came around and parked. Ok nothing dramatic but they were swaring and yelling.
I was thinking that if she couldnt walk that far then she should just get a handicap parking permit.

It's not exactly rage, but if I see someone with a car that they think is cool parked diagonally across two spaces, I'll park my old Neon about 1-1/2" away from their driver's door...

But, seriously, parking lot issues are why I keep my Sig Sauer in my glove box. Usually the sight of that baby is enough to send most people packing. And if not, I just shoot them.

I was taking the long way home in my m3 and their are a couple 3 way intersections and i did little powerslides through them and when i looked behind me there was this guy in some stupid new truck 1 ft from my bumper. I downshifted and left him in the dust. then i come up to another 3 way that has a left and right turn lane. i go in the left and the guy goes in the right. I can hear the redneck talking **** to me and hes blocking my vision of traffic comming the other way. All the sudded he turns left in front of me and takes off flooring it. I quickly catch up to him and would have passes him if it wasnt for my fear of him running me off the road. So i drive in the middle of the road (there was no one comming) tail gating him while hes still flooring it. then he lets off and signals me to pull off into this turn around area with him. he starts to turn off and i gun it around him to get away from this freak. When he sees that im not stopping he swerves out but i am able to make it around him with getting tagged. Then i ran for my absolute life and was able to get away from that hick

When I still had the 3000, someone pretty much back into it. Well, they got out, and I was really pissed. It was raining, and luckily we were underneath 3 story car park. Anyways, its a teenage girl younger than me, and her mom who I found out is the most B**ch of a person I had ever met. She was yelling at me, saying I parked the car out too far, and that it was my fault. After trying to tell her and blonde AKA dumb daughter that she caused the accident, she replied, "You kids today. Have no respect for anything. You all are causing deaths on the street. People like you, boy, are the downfall of Plano." Oh, that was it. This is exactly what I said.

"What? What the **** did you just say? I am the downfall of Plano? Lady, people like you are the downfall. Now look here, you stupid b****. You caused this d*** accident. My car was in more than enough. You, however, can't look where the h**l, can't look where you're going with that big thing you call a SUV. I was not in the car. I was walking out and happened to see your SUV with 1 tire on top of my hood. How you did that, I don't know. Now, this what's going to happen. You're going to give me your info, and pay to fix my car up."

Oh, was she mad, and I was glad. She told me, "No. You will pay to have my car repaired." I asked her, "Lady, wtf needs to be repaired? I see no damage."
"Then you're blind as well. My tire has lost some of its tread. Now I think you should pay for a new tire."
This is the last thing I said to that women before the poilice came. "You know what? You can go buy your own god**** ****in' tire, *****!"

I didn't say anything to her after that. That woman was an idiot. Telling me I caused the accident, when I was nowhere near it when it happened. And telling me to buy her a new tire. She paid for it all right.

I just bought a Nissan Skyline on Friday (31st) and i'll be parking as far away from other cars as possible in car parks now - i don't trust the drivers in this country.

How bout this?

It's not directly related.. But still ... odd and rather funny.

So my parents were moving around in an underground parking lot.. we see a car backing out of the traditional space.. once it's out, another car comes and takes it. However, the twist is that there was another space on the other side of the aile (asile? aisle? sp). A driver from that side went straight through the space, not realizing there was a car on the other side, and smashed head on right into the car, and almost SAT on top of it.

Civic : 0, Trailblazer: 1.

(Btw, the trailblazer nearly got tipped over because the damn civic was lowered and the trailblazer was raised)

Ever since I heard an handicapped person say, "you can have my parking spot, if I can have your legs", I don't condone anyone parking illegally in the handicap spaces.

Thru November and December, many drivers turn into idi@ts, so I drive as little as possible. It's like an crazy theme park out there!

My favorite "parking" episode is from couple years ago. BMW 7 Series parked illegally in the handicap space, owner came out of the department store just as the cop car came and blocked it in, with the lights on and everything. Everybody stopped and started staring at them.... priceless.
