My goodness me, these cars are, I swear, too awesome to post. The 599XX is probably the better of the two, being it's based off a racer of sorts.

Moment I saw this Aston pic I thought of this..

Looks like a Manta Ray... but oddly I like the way it looks... I'll take one in flat black so it actually is a Manta Ray.

It does look like nothing else I suppose... but that's not necessarily a good thing in this case... and it's a Citroen FFS.... all the interior bits will fall off inside the first 100 yards and the hydroelastic/pneumatic suspension/brakes/steering will fail and leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere.

On the plus side, they'll probably offer 0% finance on it and £100,000 cash back 2 months after it launches.

Of course it will never make production.

It never will make production, it's only got 1 gear and I think it is electric too. Goes like stink in GT5:P mind.

Citroën says otherwise.

If any of you haven’t seen the AM Lagonda yet, DON’T. Aston Martin has committed blasphemy.
Ah, I didn't know that. It says they'd go for something like a Ford GM V8. I'm sure the concept is electric. Anyway, it'd be nice to see that car running propery.

Well, people have been asking for Aston to make a car the looks different.

We were all wondering how Aston was going to revive Lagonda without making a luxury saloon without stepping on A-M's toes and I guess a crossover was the answer. It makes business sense, but it just doesn't fit quite right in the whole "heritage and tradition" part.

Looking back to an Autoblog post, I guess this was expected. Does this mean that they'll get down to business and stick to sedans or are they going to keep toying with the SUV thing? Because it makes no sense to revive the brand with an SUV that isn't really consistent with the whole Aston-Lagonda thing if they're going to make cars anyway.

The Lagonda in all it's glory...

My eyes are bleeding, my intestines are strangling me, and I'm puking copious amounts of blood, and my brain is producing several thousand volts of electricity to attempt to fry itself. If you ever post blasphemy like that again I'll throttle your through the internet.

Just to check, these are concepts, right? Don't most concepts by manufactures other then Chrysler not make production?

First of all, it looks like a Mitsubishi.
Secondly, it also reminds me of a Skoda; a Fabia to be specific.
Third, anybody else besides me get Toyota RAV-4 vibes of it?

So, what are Aston Martin, er, I mean, Lagonda, trying to do here? It looks awful, and doesn't have anyhting close to the brand recognition and prestige that, say, Porsche, has.

So this is their excuse to build an SUV? What a terrible idea. Not only a crappy idea, but very poorly executed. The Rapide would be so much more legit than this. This is horrendous.

It's not terrible, but there's far too much Chrysler and BMW in the design. Flame Surfaced and Big Chrome Grille dont' really agree.

I see not a lick of Aston heritage in that design.

As a matter of fact, Aston high performance cars of late have really been lacking in the beauty department. The faster they get they uglier they get. The One-77 is cool looking, sure, but not at all beautiful like a DB9 or V8 Vantage.
