Was thinking about this and decided to ask other people what track and car/category are best left alone for loss of DR/SR. Don't remember this being covered.

I think monza on any combination is one to avoid.

You're right in what you are saying. I have had decent races at Monza as well.

Monza avoid if it’s not race C, honestly it was fine (at max SR)

Interlagos isn’t usually great, last night I had one clean race (bar a .4 penalty for touching the green too much), and one race where I was hassled by one guy who then proceeded to call me a noob afterwards.

In essence, I think any race is what you make it, stay out of trouble or choose to get amongst it.

Gr.1 at Willow Springs for me...

I usually avoid the tokyo expressway tracks since they are a snoozefest.

Gr.B at Willow Springs is like watching Dakar rally, because all the cars spend most of the time off of the track
What if this is PD's way of shutting up people who want rallies in dailies before they even start to complain 💡

I was half (maybe only quarter) joking in my original reply.... though I did decide to throw down on classic 80's / 90's NASCAR liveries for race B tomorrow to make it look more authentic. Only fitting for an American on the 4th!

Hillbillies turning left! 'Murica!

I seriously wish you luck :cheers:

La Ferrari, super sport soft, any track

but its suited more to stuff like Le Mans Tokyo Express long

Depends also on region. Europe drivers are super dirty (the more western the worse) and mostly can't behave (bar top of the cream ones), so it's more about what kind of grid setups you get.
In any case i ended up avoiding Monza in any setup, people just cant behave no matter what. Tokyo join it as well, altho i don't specifically like the track.
Nurb GP in anything that isn't C or FIA, but even then i try to be at least P1-3 on start or risk carnage at T1, altho not even that guarantees it irrelevant of SR.
Brands and Interlagos are usually dirty AF in lap 1 if one isn't in top split of grid (1-5), but gets better as dirty drivers usually crash off by L5 (talking about C/FIA).
Also my favorite tracks but I avoid them in any race under 10 laps, just not enough to get back all the sr lost due to various T-bones and nudges.

Basically it all comes down how good one qualifies and how fast carnage can be left behind in order to avoid it in T1 from lap 1 race winners (lol).

Really? I find US the dirtiest. At first I thought EU was the cleanest but now that I take a second look, Asia's cleaner by a small margin give or take

However, I don't really think the dirtiness of each region will affect the choices of people because no matter where you are, there will always be "dirty" tracks like Tokyo and Monza. Sure in Asia and EU the tracks are a bit cleaner there, but if you look at those tracks relative to their own regions, they're still the dirtier ones.

Also no one's metioning Bathurst?

True, i guess it's just how lucky one is to get matched with certain players.

I wanted to mention Bathurst but i figured that one is kinda obvious :D

Monza, if the knobs don't get you at turn 1 they'll have you at turn 2, 3, 4....

Gr. 1/2/3 Monza
Gr. B/SH tires/Streets of Big Willow II

I seriously wish you luck :cheers:
4 wins, 2 fastest laps, 3 poles and up to 12th Q-time now in Americas so far this morning.

A couple incidents here and there and some "dirty" drivers obviously, but it is expected in short track racing.

Not a bad start to the day. Thanks for rooting for me!

14 wins, 12 poles, 8 fastest laps. Back to a perfect 99 SR and gained a total of 6303 DR points. At one point early on was Top 10 Q time on Americas with a 13.669, finshed 49th Q Time (didnt care to try to top it). Check my work but pretty sure those updated stats are correct.

It's all in your head for the haters of this track. Yes, it's a short track oval (Bristol Speedway inspired), yes, its round and round in circles, yes, if something goes wrong its very costly, but what'sthe difference compared to the Monza chicanes, or Interlagos turn 1, or most of Bathhurst in terms of DR/SR? A wreck is a wreck. Punting is punting!

I'm trying not to hate on the haters of this track, but this game is, and always has been, about road courses and ISMA/Endro style racing tracks for sure. Though there is a discipline and consistency factor to a half mile oval in close quarters....especially with SR and DR on the line.

I only wanted to point this out today because of the thread, as I have followed this community since the GT Sport launch in mid October, and I respect the great feedback and helpfulness of the many great drivers, much better that I, that help those who look for assistance here.

Especially the Ciphers and Geologists of the world and others who constantly contribute to help others become better players. That's cool of you all to lend tips and tricks.

I only wanted to squash what I feel is an unfair review of this track here today. Yes, the real road courses kick this tracks butt. No doubt. Not even trying to rank this track outside of the bottom 3 (NIS, BMB, Toyko). I think the majority of regular Sport players agree with those bottom tracks for the most part. But there is a skill to oval racing, even sport mode oval racing, and not all good drivers can replicate that, nor want to risk it.

Northern Isle is Norther Isle man. Enter the Thunderdome at your own (DR/SR) risk. But I've had plenty of great races, clean races, door to door races, with many a great driver(s) out there. With many a great mulitple battles every 20-30 minutes repeatedly.

And for every punt/side slam/jerk driver I've ever encountered.....I, again refer to Turn 1 of almost every other track in this game.

(This post is not intended to change minds in any way, but rather give the opinion of "to each, their own" and to just play the game for what it is, the best online racing sim in the year 2018)

Thank you for that flattering comment :O
Yea I don't really like oval tracks in general, but the reason why I mentioned it here because I was predicting it'll get rather dirty on that track.

There's actually no difference :D I think more than a fair few are really frustrated with those tracks because of their T1

Apologies if that's what my posts come across to people who read it. I do fully understand that oval racing is a skill separate from road racing, and I fully respect people who are adept at oval racing. The point of my post was that I was predicting how much of an SR killer it would be, just as much as Monza would be. No disrespect meant to oval tracks :)

Vulcan on Monza is a perfect recipe for disaster.
It was also one of the races I was good at so I took advantage and prayed I wasn't sent flying off T1.
