best car to learn with is f10 it is still sketchy on braking if you brake to late but you really don't need any aids to get around infact aids just slow the car down

I have to disagree. 99% of the cars in the game aren't high-downforce formula cars. Such cars may make driving without aids easier but I don't think one can learn much about driving without aids that could be applied to other types of cars.

License tests aren't bad for learning to drive without aids. Most of them are far shorter than one lap in a standard racetrack. In addition, a wide range of cars are used in those tests. If you can re-take those tests with all aids off and get at least bronze, then you should be fine for full-track practices and perhaps A-Spec races as well. Don't go jumping into Sarthe and Nurburgring just yet. :scared:

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice with this. I have learned to drive without all of the aids. I only use ABS depending on the car (I am using it less and less). I found the best way to take everyone's advice about not only learning one car or one track was to start racing online a lot more. I started doing the Real Racing Sim races in the spot racing forum. Each week this has allowed me to learn different cars with different handling characteristics, and learn a variety of different tracks. Not only has learning to drive without aids helped me get more out of the game but it has helped me correct some of my bad driving habits in the game and learn how to be extremely smooth.

My advice to anyone learning to race without aids, either race online or make sure to mix it up. When you are first starting to learn drive a car that you can only make like 1 or 2 laps without crashing at a time. While this is frustrating at first with enough practice you will get it. I have definitely learned that practice and track time is key when learning to drive without aids.

Thank you again GTPlanet community for your help.
