I don't know if its been brought up and discussed throughly, so I'll do it anyway. :)

I feel that the pricing system in this game is rediculous. Forget the money prizes and 20 million Cr. cap.

I just recently bought 39 new premium cars in model order for several Brands and I want to drive many of them, but am afraid to because I want to tune each and every one, but holy cow, why is it so expensive to tune just one car!? :scared:

Tuning alone, you can spend over 20-30 times (or more depending if you buy all parts) the amount that it costs you just to buy most cars (single buys) and most of the time the upgrades don't do much in performance as it does damage to your Credits. I just don't feel that its worth the effort. :yuck:

It would be best that in an update, they completely change the pricing system and I have an idea of what I think would be best for it. 💡

Cars:

Price based on Performance index (points), at the exception of concept, rare, and specialty cars (ex. SEMA cars). 👍

Upgrades/Parts:

Either lower all of it between 25-50% of what it is now or base the pricing around the cars performance index (points). For ex. A 200-300 PP. car could cost around 50,000 Cr. to uprade MAX (based on the current upgrade limitations), where as a 400-500 PP. car would cost around 150,000 Cr. to full upgrade (based on current limitations), and ect... All this includes GT Auto, but I believe tyres should be priced based on size measurements, but should still cost around 25% of their current pricings.

Or they could introduce a new tuning option that allows you to "freely" upgrade your cars performance areas somewhere between and beyond (but only to a certain extent to keep it from getting over the top ) current upgrade limitation percentages. The system itself would generally cost more than the standard upgrades, but can still cost less than the overall standard MAX upgrades, depending on if you set it to have worse or better performance than the standard upgrades. :boggled:

This system would exclude tyre grip, unless wide body kits are included or could reduce width if you really want to see how your Corvette would drive with narrow tyres.

For Ex:

Engine- Tuning to 50% of Maximium limitation of any of 3 standard options would still cost more an 50% of their regular price and tuning beyond the MAX limitation of the standard upgrade would cost MUCH more for the extra punch, but of course would have a set limit based on the drivetrain of the car. :nervous:

Buying standard upgrades while custom upgrades are already performed, would not be allowed, unless the custom upgraded area is reset to stock. :indiff:

This would go for Turbos, Weight, and ect...

It would be like the quick tune option, but with more range and dynamic pricing that would hurt the wallets at the expense of tuner individuality and preferences.

Think of the pricing system as tuner creations VS. aftermarket parts (not the same thing as a tuner buying the parts and putting it on themselves, but tuners actually creating the parts).

This system could create a fantastic tuning-racing community that would set the novices :dunce: apart from the expert tuners  and even the werid ones :odd:, within the online system.

Whatever name I give the system, I think the whole idea I just awesome. :O

Sometimes I wonder why I don't just go and make a game myself. :trouble:

What do you guys think of the idea. Do you have any ideas of your own?

:gtpflag:

The in-game prices are fine, I think. Prices for the first level upgrades are cheap enough. Remember, just because a car is cheap, doesn't mean parts for it are. Then, if you actually think about it, the expensive parts are all pretty much racing parts and are priced accordingly.

Maybe if they made more events and higher rewards from the events we already have the pricing wouldn't be so rediculous.

I remember the tuner city in GT4 had cheaper prices than the manufacturers' to tune. Most cars could tune there.
