When are you going to buy it?

Next Thursday; I have to move the Enzo to the SLR McLaren's spot to make room. Damn - what will I do!?

Silver, by the way, but who really gives a **** about color besides 17-year-old girls?

Ok, just curious. I mean, I'd take it in anything b/c hey, at least I got one! :)

Exactly. Pretty much regardless of color, you're still doing 0-60 in 3.6sec and 220mph. :D

Seems kind of like a humble neighbourhood for a car that flashy. Relatives or something?

God, supercars are so much smaller than I imagine when you actually see them on public roads.

So true. I saw a McLaren SLR here in California (San Mateo bridge - for those who know where it is). BEAUTIFUL car in person. I wish a had a camera to snap a photo.

When you have a yellow colored super car you're really saying "Yeah, that's right. I have money to spend on yellow car. And I have a few others back in the garage."
When you have a gray colored super car you're really saying "It took me several years to save up this much money. Please don't hit my car."

:)

220Mph!?
I thought these monster Porsches were at 205Mph?

I'm pretty sure they do run out of speed at 205mph. Even an Enzo has a bit of trouble getting to 220mph.

Beautiful car M5Power, I admire your dedication to taking photos of every sort of car, whether it is a half million dollar supercar or merely a Toyota Camry.

If people scratch our freelander suv, i'm sure a porsche costing more than 10x more, which stands out like a sore thumb, is going to get a few scratches over the years. It could be because my mum is a teacher in a school in a rough neighbourhood, but the same principles apply.

Wow, very impressive sighting. My friend saw one once, but that was at an expensive hotel in downtown Toronto (I tried to see it, but I missed by five minutes; I made a huge post about it, because I saw 11 Ferraris that day). You, on the otherhand, saw it in a neighbourhood where the car was by far the single most expensive thing for miles around!

Rarest sighting I've seen is an SLR, which was being driven on what is probably the most poorly maintained urban road in Canada, Steeles Avenue. This place would give even a rally car a decent workout.

Maybe Doug secretly works for Polyphony Digital, and we have him to blame for all those oddball dogs in GT4...

It's a shame you didn't catch it during the day, it was a little dark in those pics. But still, I wouldn't care one bit what time of day it was if it was this car

Cops care, and thieves seem to. Besides, there are often horrible factory colors on cars. Take a look at the '02-'03 "Sonic Yellow" available on the Impreza, simply hideous.

Meh. Whichever. Who really cares about the top speed of a supercar?

If I worked for PD, I would come out with a game called "Doug Rules" where you could choose between one of many normal vehicles and one of several real-life cities, and all you could do is drive around. That's a working title, by the way.

Doesn't everybody? Isn't that the point? (Well, one of them).

I'd buy that.

Oh, so you'd just be remaking The Getaway in various cities, then? Have you got your button-mapping scheme worked out for turnsignals, headlights, etc.? Those will be required.

Never played it. Heard it was terrible. However, if someone out of nowhere were to just make a game based on Monaco, or I guess many famous cities around the world, and just let your drive real licensed cars (with real physics?) around would get a definate buy from me....

Crap, going off-topic.

Of course. Those, and windshield wipers. Oh, and the police could pull you over for various infractions, even minor ones. The first car I'd map? 1993-1997 Volvo 850.

Guess which is quicker.

I'd so buy that game!

One thing I always wished GT would have is driving around. I always thought it'd be cool if you'd actually drive to the dealers, tuning shops, etc, and could just drive around the city.

The quicker car's on the left, isn't it? Is that a Typhoon?

The Jimmy! The first time I saw a cgt in person I wasn't surprised at how small the car was, but how f-ing huge the wheels were. The multicolor lugs are cool too on that car. And for those that think a supercar should be driven, my friend's dad has a daily driver gallardo along with his older "beater" nsx.

saw two carrera GTs on my to and from the beach this afternoon and one F430

of course the camera was sittin right here on my desk.

but then again, i live in los angeles and we see that sort of thing everyday.

F430 sounded heavenly

Pfft, we all know the Cayenne TT is better, Doug :P
Damn, if I lived in MI, you and me would have to go to track and settle it right then and there.

And, above 70mph, the Cayenne's got better acceleration. The Ty is only quick to 60 because it's only geared for 125!

I saw a Carrera GT yesterday. It was travelling in the opposite direction on the motorway. It was in the classy "slate grey".

About damn time you posted a picture...or is that not yours?

Anyways I bet the Typhoon is pretty damn close or faster. The Ty will pull a low 13 in the quarter and the Cayenne will pull a mid 13. I'm guessing since the Sy is about half the weight. The Cayenne would more then likely have a higher top speed, but the Ty would take it in a road course I'm guessing.

Better my ass. For twenty percent of the price of the Cayenne, you can have one hundred percent of the quick (and probably about equal handling) with a Typhoon.

Just as with the DB9, thread, as soon as I see a C-GT, everyone else sees one but casually leaves their camera or doesn't have one. I BUY NOTHING WITHOUT PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE! I'm a defense lawyer's perfect juror. Unless of course his client is caught on camera.

Mine's black - I just thought that picture was unbelievable because those are the two quickest SUVs ever built - by far - sitting next to each other on the same dealer lot. By the way, that Typhoon, a 93 (the oldest car at this high-end used car dealer by 10yrs), has 25k on it - the asking price? $19,998. For the record, in 1993, they were asking $29800 new and couldn't even move them then. Unbelievable

It's quicker, granted, but how about availability? Sy/Ty's aren't exactly dime a dozen.

M5Power
Let's pretend you do somehow manage to steal the thing. How the hell would you get away? How would you steal it in the first place? If my $70000 Mercedes has a built-in immobilizer I'm certain a $450,000 Porsche has an automatic authority-alert system or some crap. Maybe not, but you get my point.

Yeah - I don't know its story. Just sitting there in a neighborhood known for its trendy mom-and-pop coffee shops, populated mostly with Kerry-Edwards supporters and Passats and Jettas. The car itself is really cool, but its location makes it one of the most unbelievable sights of my life.
Drug Dealer? :P

I saw a Carrera GT last summer on the beach, it was a silver one. We had a video camera in the car, but me and my friends were to drunk to actually reach it. :p

We managed to shoot a black 360 spider´s wheels though.
