We just held our first official Cars & Coffee event here in Dallas, and it was a success. With little promotion until the last second, we had a turnout of 200 cars ranging from classics to major exotics. What I caught was still pale in comparison to the few cars who turned up (LP640, Exige S, etc.).

A few shots for now (mainly, the goodies), but I'll show all the rest later tonight or Monday.

Next month should have a higher turnout, of which I will be arriving early & leaving late to capture all of it.

what engines came with the trans ams? 455 sounds very big and should have a good amount of HP?

The Pontiac 455 WAS a huge honkin' motor. 455 ci, or 7.5 liters. Earlier years ran...high 300s, low 400s from the factory, if I remember correctly. Later years were smog-choked to around 200.

I think they should have held it in a parking lot with much more shade. Old guys with Lamborghinis and lawn chairs don't like baking in the sun, after all. You gotta have shade for cruise-ins, otherwise people will be leaving early and not coming back or not coming at all.

Anyways, where are all the super-exotics? It's Dallas, after all, I know they're around there somewhere.

You mean Ralleye wheels. Steelies are bog-standard wheels without wheel covers. Ralleye wheels have a sportier design, and chrome trim rings with a plastic or metal center cap. :3

Sorry guys. Really trying to get to them, but I was distracted by friends and have literally been running on 26 hours of no sleep, now mixed with major sun burns. I'm also trying to get the car cleaned up for RKC's meet tonight.

Those are factory 1970 Rally whells,they even have the correct center cap,something that Mopar enthusiasts sometimes overlook.That 'Cuda is a very fine example of '70's muscle,383 big block - pretty bad-ass car.

I quit going to RKC's meets, too many young people and idiot teenagers that ruin the fun. There is a serious issue with stuck up rich kids/people and those of us who don't have money but want to partisipate in the festivities. There is a young 20's something guy who's dad bought him a Viper and paid for all of his modifications then acts like HE paid for it. After I got into an arguement with that guy I decided those meets weren't for me. And besides, I was practically laughed away when I drove my Camaro up there. I didn't even park next to anyone's rich-mobile. And for the name to be Rice Killers they suuuuuuuure have alot of rice up there.

Anyway I digress...back to the topic.

They're alright, but the guy who started it is too stuck up. He boasts that his meet is larger than the one in Irvine, yet that's because he counts spectator cars as well. He also doesn't realize that the guys in Irvine don't give a crap, and that their show normally turns out much more exciting vehicles.
