Cars from GT4 you want and don't want in GT5...

Hi,

I read somewhere that GT5 would have less cars than GT4. Including the fact that there will be many new cars not having previously been featured in GT4 (notably Ferrari) there will be some cars from GT4 absent in the new series. Below I have made a list of cars not confirmed in GT5 but that I want, that were in GT4, in no particular order. This differs from the wishlist in that these cars are in GT4 and this list includes cars that I don't want; their inclusion will be an opportunity cost. Mostly, these cars will be pretty much duplicates of similar cars in GT4. Reflecting on the fact that PD will only be able to create about 300 cars (approx. 100 cars have already been made) and that of course we will be wanting new cars, I limited my wishlist.

The list isn't exhaustive, and I haven't got a list in front of me. Forgive my lack of eloquence, but I just can't think straight now. Please comment on what cars you would like to see again in GT5 from GT4, and which ones you think do not deserve to appear. If there are any things I've said that are wrong, please correct me.

Why no Skylines or Evos? They're arguably some of the most important cars of all time, and Polyphony didn't really go overboard with the Lancers like they did the Skylines.

Generally speaking, I'd want all of the cars from all previous GTs. Having more cars can only be a good thing. But I've actually written up a realistic list of the cars I'd like to see (less than 350) here.

I want the Mazda Miata MX-5 (NA), or even any Miata. They're iconic and modern. I wonder how Polyphony could have omitted them from GT5: Prologue. They bothered to put in the Cappuccino.

I'd like to have the GNX carried over from GT4, it was "the" reason why I got so into the game, purchased 2 driving Wheels and am considering a play-seat and a wheel upgrade or two.

Additionally I'd like to see the Regal T-Type with T-Tops ;-) so that we can have an assortment of color choices since the GNX only came and black, and I like it that way, while the T-Types came in all sorts of colors. Since they basically have the Regal body , GNX, GN, and T-Types are all just modded Regals, I'd like to see a V8 Regal tossed in for those who like to push lots of horse power after lots of upgrades and tweaking.

The GSX would also be a very welcomed addition to the stable. That was one nice V8 Buick.

I never really understood this, it takes a very small amount of effort to make the slight variation models compared to making a whole new one, not like you are missing out on whole unique cars because they included Spec S S15 aswell.

Mafia Boy, I'm with you; all the tuned cars that don't exist in real life really cheese me off. Instead of having the Viper tuned, why not the GTS-R Concept? Or en lieu of the tuned Elise, why not an Exige? Or the Ford GTX1? Or...and the list goes on.

My fear is that at this rate, GT5 will have many cars but too many for my liking will merely be duplicates.

Edit: Having read your list, CyborgGT, with all due respect, I felt a bit depressed. Where were all the special cars that made GT4 special, like the Dome Zero? What I appreciated about GT4 was its ability to make you sit up and think: Oh, this car existed that I never knew about... and so on. It's these obscure, unique and unusual cars that made GT4 that bit more enjoyable. PGR3 to some extent delivered on that front. However, if PD over time creates download packs like Forza 2, that might redeem the lack of exotica. On a tangential note, the Ferrari 512bb is somewhat comforting.

And nice to see there are still people around moaning about the smaller, slower or more unusual cars in GT, as if they somehow have less right to be in the game than supercars or race cars, or as if PD have excluded some car you want for the sake of adding an obscure city car or classic. Really open-minded of you 👍

Lol. Those midgets are cool man. When my nephew( who lacks GT skill) plays against me, i choose the midget and he'll choose a car that he thinks is superfast eg: Ford GT with a mega turbo or sumin'( but spins out easily)
I'll choose Autumn mini and see if i can beat him with the Midget

The GT4 cars that could be excluded are cars like the Volvo 240( unless they allow us to change drivetrains)

To tell you the truth, i'd be highly dissapointed if GT5 does not match or come close to the amount of cars in GT4.

Man after my own heart. I wouldn't like to see any omissions, though we're bound to get some in the natural course of whatever the PD team likes and dislikes

All the JGTC/S-GT cars in the series should be included, as well as updated versions, eg. ARTA NSX available in 00 model but not 03...07?
The different teams running the same car should be represented by 'paint' choices and not as separate cars:
2003 GT-R GT500 - Calsonic, Motul, Xanavi
2005 Supra GT - Esso, Eclipse, Bandai, Yellowhat, Open Interface, Dynacity, Zent, Denso
2007 NSX-GT - ARTA, Takata Dome, Real, Epson, Raybrig...

The 50+ Skylines is no big deal, and more [tuned versions] should be included.

I never really understood this, it takes a very small amount of effort to make the slight variation models compared to making a whole new one, not like you are missing out on whole unique cars because they included Spec S S15 aswell.

By versions i meant ones that are so much the same you couldn't tell the diffrence between them. a silvia S15 spec S & Spec R are diffrent, one has around 200bhp the other has 250bhp.

Used cars are the best thing about gt. theres nothing like buying old cars and modding them. A lot of used cars are very fast like the Lancer Evolution I RS, 0-60 5.1!!
