Cars from multiple profiles in arcade

My girlfriend and I share a PS3 and have different profiles so we can make our own progress through GT5. However, when we try to race "Arcade" 2-player, there is no option to select cars from another profile except the one that's logged in, and the driver name for player 2 is just the name of the profile that's loaded with a "[2]" after it.

Is there any way to load a second profile for 2-player like we could in GT4? If not, is there some way I can copy cars from her profile into mine?
 
Just use the dupe trick..

Back up her save to a flash drive. Then load her profile and gift the cars to yours. Delete her save from the HD and load the backup onto the HD. She will still have her cars on her save and will be able to use them on yours. Only problem is you can only gift one car per day.
