Cars in updates.

I was wondering, since PD is able to release huge amounts of data through updates, that maybe they have the ability to release cars in updates. I think it would be cool because, as we all know, cars go out of date quickly and new cool ones come around. Now, im no computer person, but is this possible/would it happen?

Well, they did it with GT5 Prologue. So there's no reason why they can't do it with GT5 if they so wish.

There's always the possibility, and if this blog is accurate, then it looks like it will be happening.

I doubt we'll get any new cars for free though. I'm sure with any dlc content will come an update so that people who don't buy the cars can race against them online, but I don't see why they wouldn't use the traditional DLC delivery methods.

Free or microtransactions remains to be seen, for sure. It definitely will be interesting to see what we might get as updates and as "traditional DLC" stuff.
