I really like looking at some of the big grunt motorbikes - but I know some of the following things would happen if I got one:
- my partner would kick me out
- I'd be killed or locked up within a week

Cars, they are a lot safer, and you can drive them year round, more practical...

Cars. Here in Michigan bikes are just way to cold in the winter.

ya this is a smart thread, it like comparing a twig vs an ak47, who would win in a fite???
DUH!

i voted bikes...bikes can outrun any riceburner.

im saving up to get an '02 honda xr400. big bore four stroke. id sell my pajero and use it to get to work. lotless in rego and fuel.

I've been looking at some bikes, lately. Although they're very impractical, especially given I live in a region that doesn't see a whole lot of sunny, warm days. But I want a roadster, too, which aren't practical, either. Of the two, bikes tend to be cheaper.

I also started riding a motorcycle when I was around 10 or so. Haven't been on one in a while, though.

Getting a girl in the back seat of your car, difficult yet practical. Try it on a bike, theres many problems there.

Mazkid: I've thought about it. There seem to be a lot of low-milage used ones around, too. Everyone I know that has one, loves it.

They are one of the true Mazdas being made.(626, B-series, Tribute, MPV(although a great van) all have ford parts, Miata and Protege are the best out there now(Millenia is ok to own but fixing is expensive and hard to do). Try getting a hold of one of the limited edition ones, they are very cool, if not try out the LS like in GT3...I haven't been in a new Miata, but I have't heard any bad reports from them, and my dad rarely sees any in the shop...

i aint waiting for long videos to download...i saw the start of the first one, its running a ****ing 26lb turbo and nitrous and the bike is basically standard. jesus christ who do you think would win?

Well, you'd think that a motorcycle with a stock 1/4 mile time of somewhere in the 9 second range would be able to pull on a car with a 11 second 1/4 mile time(yes, even though he has 800+hp, he still runs 11's, he's traction limited), wouldn't you? Apparently the bike can't, though...:rotfl:

I have tons of videos of car's like Supras, Lexus', RX7s, and so on whomping up on poor ole motorcycles like 600cc bikes, 900cc, 1000cc, 1100cc, and especially those pesky little 1300cc bikes like the Hayabusa.

God, I love cars, and not those unaerodynamic pieces of **** called motorcycles.

BTW- Who has more HP per pound, that bike, or that car? Yep, that bike. That Supra ways just shy of 2 tons:lol:

Also- Those are the only videos I have of a car beating a motorcycle with that much horse power, all the other vids I have the cars only have like 460-650hp, not 800+.

i would love to have a bike. To bad that the weather here sucks ass. Cars are good i can say but a bike just seems more fun. Plus bikes have good accel. I like that.

whats the difference in price between the 2? you can buy a bike with more performance for your money....bikes are cool, you get more of a rush riding fast than in a car, but having said that i do like the safety of a car...hey what ever floats yer boat people, i like both in different ways!

Well, most of the bigger cc bikes are in upwards up $15-20,000. Some are even higher. And of course a bike is going to have more performance(120hp+ on a 300lb bike) for the money.

yeh, but i have just paid £4000($5600) for a 600cc suzuki with 100bhp, which is capable of 0-60 times in about 3secs, and top end of 160mph, now you have to agree thats not bad? but i do love cars......cars/bikes are great aren't they?

That's the good thing about bikes, they're ungodly fast when completely stock... 0-60 in less than 3 sec. is not only not bad, but it's unbelievably badass...:D I seriously doubt that $5,600 could buy any car with 0-60 & 1/4 mile times like that bike has...:)

I kinda like to talk **** about motorcycles, for some unknown reason, but I've loved them since I was like 4. I've ridden my father's 929rr a few times, but it scares the hell outta me...:p

Congrats on your recent bike purchase...:D Be safe on 'er, and keep the sticky side down...:p

of course a car with a turbo and nitro would win. IT HAS BOOST!

yamaha manufactured a 250cc turbo bike. everyone who bought one died (no bull) they were killer on the 1/4.

takes more balls to ride a bike past 170kmh than it takes to drive a car past 170...you have to take into account that if you come off your a skidmark or you might live to be a cripple.

170 in a car is **** all. your taking 1/100th of the risk of a bike. id still kill your S2000 on my sisters stock cbr 250. Honda VS Honda lol.

ok, do 100kmh (60 miles an hour) with either the windows down or the top off. then accellerate to 100mph. i guarentee youll slow down and put the top down and the windows up lol. if you get a stiff breeze it becomes pretty hairy at 100mph. ive hit 230kmh on a yzf on the gateway bridge...never again.
