Cars that became completely different beasts from GT5 to GT6

More serious < hanging caravans into the air and knocking them into each other :D
lol
I like them both and I see them as different kinds of programs. One is a show featuring cars and the other is a show about cars.

@psavi

Just to make you happy, I bought a brand new Lotus Evora, put on CS tires, and went to the ring with grip loss set to real, and managed a time of 8:40.866.

This was with a 16 year old who isn't super skilled at the ring, who missed about half the track's apexes and had never done a lap of the ring before in this car.

This is hardly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. A true alien could probably shave it down to well under 8 flat.

Despite that, I did not spin out once. I had 2 situations where the back slid slightly on exit but it was nothing difficult.

Even though the back can slide a little under trail braking, this is definitely one of the best handling cars I've driven in GT6.

If you don't believe me then I'll happily post a replay. If you think my time was too slow, I'd be happy to try for more than a single lap and see just what kind of time I can get.

Tuning is a totally different story. Once you tune a car it's easy to totally ruin it.

I'll happily put a bone stock Evora on CS around the Ring.

If you think my time is slow, then maybe you're just overdriving the car. Because in a video game, the lack of real danger easily allows you to push harder than real life.

If I drive this car 110% then I'll crash. You have to respect the car's limits, and in turn you will be faster than if you go flat out and spin the thing every turn.
Actually, I have to give in. It just struck me that I was not comparing stock Evoras, but equal tunes I did in both games. Thanks for showing me that.

I just drove a stock Evora round the Ring, and I didn't have much problem. It's not as good as GT5's one, but still manageble.

I understand what you're saying. Each track, one tune. But I'm not asking for a perfect tuning out of factory. I'm just asking for the car to be controllable when I'm pushing, say 90% of its limit. In GT5, I would never leave the track. In GT6 I can't stay in track, the car is too unpredictable. I'm not an amazing driver, but I can control MR cars (at least in the game, never drove one IRL), but not the Evora. Not anymore.
I understand that as well. They took it to the extremes with some, to include the Lamborghini Diablo Gt2. At Le Mans, turning uphill to the Dunlop bridge, tell me you never go into the sand the opposite way of the track..

Maybe we were talking about different tire compounds, or something else, but you can definetly tune a car for its track, by making adjustments to make you think your not overdriving but you're actually setting some flying laps. I know with my R18 I had a bit of a shoddy tune to it and I fought to get good laps around Le Mans, but then I reached out for help and finessed it and I hit those times without even sweating a drop, and can still go faster if I really want some tire squels...

If you guys wanted cars that you guys wanted to test and practice in terms of handling an MR car I have some.

The MR 2 GTS snaps at corners with too much throttle, but surprisingly it is extremely easy to correct steering.
F40, very very tricky, will twist if you turn too much and too much throttle, brake in a straight line
Lamborghini Diablo GT2, nice little car, has same inherent issues as the F40 but slightly more forgiving
Audi R8/LMS both stock and GT3 versions will have oversteer due to the heavy mid engine. 4WD will not save you, but it helps.
Lamborghini Reventon, it can go up to 900hp and it doesn't break traction from a launch with Sports tires, but it will if you corner with it
Lotus Europa, that low hp is deceiving, it turns incredibly fast, but traction will break if you ease off gas into corners
Lancia Stratos, turns so fast it makes the Lotus Europa look like a Daihatsu, though sometimes the fast turns may be mistaken as sometimes it will break traction.

Try these out, they made me a better driver, in the beginning I couldn't even lap Brands Hatch in these, now I can Nordschleife most of them with little to no errors!

The Stratos definitely changed to become more difficult, but I like the new form better for it.

I'd like to make a "confessional bear meme" about the Formula GT.

I like the GT5 version better.

I could be horribly wrong, but I don't think that a massive powerful formula car such as this would be so easy to drive.

I think that, once again, PD has cut down the game to make it easier to casual people.

LOTUS EVORA is one of the best handling cars in GT6!

I really wanted PD to have added the Evora S in GT6, so I didn't have to try and replicate it.

The stock Evora simply lacks in power. It's not amazing to drive as in GT5. It handles well but still short of what I'd expect of Lotus. And despite I have never driven one, I'm pretty sure the real one drives much better and is easier to drive.
