Okay guys, I've just got 2 silver chrome paint items. But I'm struggelig to find a car to paint.

I know it's kind of a rare paint, so I wanna apply it to a car which fits the chrome effect...

Any suggestions?

Post images, if you have any of a car that looks good with the silver chrome paint , thanks :-)

... I know i misspelled 'painted' and 'silver', thanks to iPhone-auto correct! hurr-durrr -.-'

I've got the same problem ;)
Yesterday I got a silver chrome chip, after a long time of waiting and hoping.
Now that I have it, I don't know which car to paint lol :)
The Zonda R maybe?

Daihatsu Midget :D

Haha :D

Well i saw this on Google, and it looks somehow OK. Yet, i would like to chrome a car, which i would actually use for racing...

GT by Citroen;)

👍 +1
This!

I personally think, the more angular/extreme the car's body is, the more dramatic an impact a highly reflective finish is going to have.

(That reminds me, I need to get a second GT by Citroën so I can re-paint it Gold Chrome to go with my Silver Chrome one...)

Seached Google for some ideas since I'm also having kind of the same dilemma.

The NSX looks good in the back here:

Couple of people suggest the Citroen GT. I don't find it that attractive.

Zonda R looks very nice with it. I like the stock color too much to paint it though.

Another NSX. I think NSXs look mighty fine with silver chrome.

I think some cars look a lot better than others. Think before you paint, so hard to replace. Here is the Mercedes with 10" wheels.

wow great pics guys! I have had a Silver chrome chip for months and have been afraid to pull the trigger on it. Is the silver chrome the same as a chrome paint chip?

Yea, i'm guessing it is just faster to not write silver, cause regulare chrome is silver. So people just say chrome. Well thats what i Think :-)

I think all cars look hideous with chrome paints on. Unless it's just for the humour of it. I've used all my chromes on wheels only.

Painted my XJ13 chrome...just so I could re-paint it back to British Racing Green.
Chrome sucks, for me at least.
I had 3, 1 spent on XJ13 (which I re-painted to BRG), GT by Citroen and wheels for my gold chrome F1.

As for a silver chrome painted cars go, I think it all depends on the individual's preference. As it's clear in this thread there are people who like and there are others who dislike chrome paint. I for myself like chrome paint only on certain cars.

After seeing a lot of photos of silver chrome painted cars on this forum, my opinion is that it's very rare to paint a car silver chrome, and get the position & lighting right in a photo so that it doesn't look awful. I think it's because it reflects its surroundings more than other colours.

OTOH, I think the gold chrome seems to look quite nice on many cars.
