Cars that were somehow omitted for no reason, even though they were present in GT2.
Here's an obvious one: the series 1 and 2 Mazda RX-7

Still spot these on the road in real life occasionally.
Noticed many others?
I know that GT6 has lots of cars but I think they focused too much on exported cars, such as the Nissans and the Toyotas. Either as an update or in GT7 they should focus on some more North American cars such as the new Ford cars and trucks like the new fiesta, the new fusion, the new f-150 and the new raptor. Maybe some new dodges too like the new dodge 1500 or an srt 10 ram, the new dart, the caliber and the new chrysler 200. I'd also like to see some new chevys too, such as new silverado, 2014 camaro ZL1, the cobalt ss, cavalier Z24, s10, and so on. Played tons of GT6 just needs more cars that are different not more off the same vehicle over and over again.
The argument that PD add too many Japanese cars doesn't stand up. For both GT5 and GT6 they've added more North American/European cars than Japanese cars, and, short of getting rid of some of the Japanese cars, there's nothing more they can do to address the imbalance.
To be honest you're pointing out three or four American cars per manufacturer, so I have a feeling you just want American cars to be the main category.
You cant be serious, really? The title is laden with Japanese cars while the European and North American car lists are limited and in some cases stale. Each of Japan's largest manufacturers have pages upon pages of cars and as many know every iteration of Miata's, Supras, Rx 7's, Skylines, Z - series cars and Civics. Where as each US manufacturer has two pages at best.
This kind of fan boy delusion is the worst thing about this franchise, screw North America and Europe as long as I can have a garage full of imports. The imbalance as you state can certainly be addressed, there are literally 100's of NA and European cars missing from this title that are just as, and in some cases more relevant than, half the Japanese cars in the game.
How about the global automotive industry be represented? I know the initial goal for Kaz was pleasing his domestic market but they aren't the only people buying the game now. When you look at the prominent European and NA cars suggested in the Suggestion thread, you need to realize you couldn't be more wrong.
Your post really irritated me. It is ignorant to think that the NA and Euro cars in the game are a fair representation of their history and impact in the automotive industry and that the content is a complete and accurate list.
fan boy delusion
I repeat,
"For both GT5 and GT6 they've been reducing this bias, and, short of getting rid of some of the Japanese cars, there's not much more they can do to address the imbalance."
Let's look at some statistics:
GT1 - Japan 89.9%; Europe 3.7%; North America 6.3%; Other 0%
GT2 - Japan 67.4%; Europe 21.4%; North America 11.1%; Other 0%
GT3 - Japan 63.2%; Europe 24.7%; North America 11.6%; Other 0.5%
GT4 - Japan 62.0%; Europe 24.8%; North America 11.4%; Other 1.7%
GT5 - Japan 60.4%; Europe 26.5%; North America 12.0%; Other 1.1%
Cars added in GT5 - Japan 54.1%; Europe 31.4%; North America 13.2%; Other 1.3%
I'm sorry that you're irritated but you're also wrong.
Thanks for asking how I feel about GT6 before labelling me a 'fanboy', as it happens I'm pissed off with PD and severely disappointed with GT6, I just happen to respect statistics instead of ranting inaccuracies to support my anger.
Thanks for supporting my point, your stats show a major discrepancy between each region so how am I wrong? You just proved my point.
Are you unable to acknowledge trends?
What trends? Do you even know what the auto industry is doing these days, or how the industry grew?
What trends? How about the fact that the ratio of Japanese cars has decreased, and the ratios of European and North American cars have increased?
Look at the list of cars added in GT6 and tell me about the hideous Japanese bias.
Update: of the 124 cars added, I count 32 Asian cars.
Read my post above. Are trying to be obnoxious? or are you thick? The trends you mention are the responsibility that PD should have in addressing the major omissions from each US Mfg and some of the European Mfg. Each US and European manufacturers are still significantly behind the Japanese in content. So either remove more Japanese cars and add those same numbers back as Euro and US models or increase the car count and add more US and Euro cars.

Fantastic, Japanese cars being removed = NA/EU cars suddenly appearing apparently.
"Oh boy, this Mustang is so much more satisfying to drive now that all of those Japanese cars have been removed!!"
Gran Turismo is a game made by a Japanese developer based on nearly eighty years of motoring, not a simulation of the 2014 automotive industry.
I must say, you're certainly not making me feel thick.
You are entitled to your opinion but I think you are missing the point. As the audience purchasing this game has changed so has the content. It is till not there yet for those of us who want to have the automotive industry's history represented from all manufacturers.
I just don't understand how anyone could complain about a problem clearly being addressed.
It's not even a matter of opinion, statistics clearly show this.
You're right, we should be happy that they are making incremental changes. I obviously should be pleased with what has been served. Thanks for the debate.
