I did the same. 787b Stealth.

What tracks is easiest in obtaining 400 km/h? I've tried various, with the most obvious being Circuit de la Sarthe (no chicanes) using the Veyron, but it just isn't long enough... Any ideas?

If you can't reach 400 km/h on the Mulsanne Straight with no chicanes, you've got issues.

There's also the SS7 or something (city track, very long highway).

Really? Using a standard Veyron, you reach 400 km/h with ease?

La Sarthe is very bumpy so I'd choose SSR7.

Its possible in the stock Veyron.

Only a few cars can hit over 400 without slipstream, the Toyota GT one, Pescarolo's I think, the C9 Im pretty sure, Cadillac Cien I think?

But only using slipstream, right?

i did it in a tuned veyron on SS7 just have to move the gear raios up a bit nd go for it through the tunnels (backwards from the start point) not too hard really :)

Lol man the TVR Speed 12 is my FAVOURITE car, and it is unable to reach speeds above 390 unless drafting.

Only cars that I think can hit above 400 not drafting.

Bugatti
Cien
GT-One
C60 Hybride
ACR?
Ford GT?

Pretty much the only few that can do it.

TVR Speed 12 does it easy on Le Mans

No that easy hey. Actually, I had it maxed out, optimal settings (i.e. I haven't got any better for the past/next 6 hours with different setups). I hit 401kph going "wrong way" and got that just before hitting the wall.

Others:
- Veyron
- X1 obviously
- CIEN (fastest non-racing rwd in the game)
- Viper (ACR can hit it on the Sarthe, for regular SRT10 you need SSR7 and some SERIOUS suspension tweaks - best I manged was 398)
- got 399 with R89C so that would probably work as well as R92C
- you could get 400 with escudo if its gearbox wasn't glitched (at least it is for me, won't let me past 322kph regardles of how I set the gearbox)
- C9 did 388 without turbo upgrade (wierd, given that in 1989 le mans it maxed out at 398kph and it was the reason why they put 2 chicanes ever since then)
- roughly a top20 of that list: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134446 that is if you fancy oil-change hp boosting. Generally avoid heavier cars.

No slipstreams that is ;)

My Audi R8 can hit 270mph (with a slipstream from an X1 or something) but still it is worth a mention, not bad for an R8 :P

Atleast the X2010, the Viper ACR, the Cien, the Veyron and the GT-One - the X2010 can actually do 500km/h with slipstream. Not too sure of any others.

The ONLY reason the Escudo tops out at 200 MPH is because it is so huge and boxy with a massive wing on the back. Too much air resistance.

Remember doing 400+ with the RUF CTR2 in GT4, but not tried it yet in GT5. Tuned of course.

On SS7, my personal best with my fully tuned Veyron ( but stock gearbox) is 435kph out of the tunnel. From a standing start and the enter of the tunnel.
