I have an opinion question to everyone that sees this post. When you started playing GT3 you saw many car and thought that they where nothing special but after using them you found it was awesome in a certain way or characteristic. This car is not particularly your favorite car but you respect it greatly while some people may not see its greatness. This car should not be the type of car that is awesome due to its horse power or looks like a Nissan R390 road or race car but a car that has a certain characteristic that makes it awesome example a car with low horse power but can keep up or blow away cars that have more power or it handles nicely without to much tuning.

List the car and the characteristic please
My cars

Sprinter Trueno Shigeno version low horses power that keeps up with the crowed of higher powered cars and it handle very nice when racing.

Spoon Civic handle very good for a front wheel drive car and it is faster than a 400+ horse powered turbo civic type R.

Civic SIR II because I used to drive one.
:guilty:

this is my first post. yay. but i agree 100%. i honestly dont like all the rediculously high powered cars with every part. i like to try to build something more doable, like an s13 with some simple mods, and good consistent handling. sure theres times when you need or have the urge to drive the 850hp beasts, but it gets old.
id say that the s13 is a great car, ill 2nd you on the SIR II, and probably the, well im at a loss. but ya, u get the idea. :)

Some cars that have surprised me.

Toyota Vitz - Hated this thing at first, then learned to drive it, and its quite fast when setup correctly. Competive with my Type R's even... its fun. Did the Pro FF with one no trouble.

Opel Speedster - Initially didn't much care for this car, but after tuning it and running it for the WRS, I've discovered its simply awesome.

Toyota MR-S - Not much power, but very light, and amazingly agile. Use it to complete the Pro Roadster race, with it tuned NA. None of the Turbo stuff.

Mazda RX-7 RZ - Sure, its fast. Everyone knows that. I just didn't realize how FAST it is till I started playing with one. Made my MR2 GT-S seem slow :(

Sure there are more, I'll mention them when I remember...

FWD. Accord type R. very quick with mods and nice handling with not to much understeer.Overlooked at the start of the game for Civics and Integras.
RWD. The non turbo Supra. Most people overlook this car for the more powerful turbo model. Some light tuning makes this car fast and a nice handler.

Lister Storm for sure 👍.

Suzuki Alto Works. 200hp, 4WD and kei car weight and wheelbase make a surprisingly capable car.
The Legacy B4 isn't great, but it's better then I expected.
I agree on the RX-7. It's max HP seems pretty weak compared to the Supra, GTO and Skyline, but it's a rocket.

I was pretty suprised how fast a Honda Civic Type-R could be :) first i didnt think it could be fast or anything but its pretty damn fast when you learn to tune it and drive it. well, any FWD cars has suprised me ^_^

Zonda, any model. Hated it first and loved it after an olr session with it. 👍

I was running a bone stock Zonda C12S around Grand Valley last night and after a bit of practice I concluded it to be a very quick car. Although I found it quite a challenge to get the maximum out of the car. When I first started lapping with it, I was getting horrendous under steer (from a 550hp, MR, RWD super car  ). However, after about 5 or so laps I got used to it and could set a fairly decent lap time.

I love racing supercars around tracks and that's definitely something GT3 lacked imo.

In Arcade B Class, the Interga Type R is a real sweet handler. So light and nimble. I used to hate it long ago when I didn't know how to drive worth a fark.

the nissan skyline GRT R33 and GTR R34 are better than i thoungt they would be but the mazda 787b is way better than i thought... but it is ugly

My Nissan 200SX was a surprise.

Well, I tell a lie, I started using it in GT1, carried it over to GTs 2 and 3. It was my official drift car. :sly:

Still, it's better than I initially though.

Just turn asm off to get rid of the understeer.

The Spoon S2000 was the biggest surprise for me. Sure it's not the fastest car in the game, not by a long shot. It's the handling of the car where it really shows off. I'd say it is unmatched in that department making it a great car to use.

EDIT : Whoops double post.

Opel Speedster - I barely ever hear anyone talk about using this car. My first impression of it was that it was quite slow as a standard car, but had good handling. So with a couple of mods it's quick with good handling.

Subaru Impreza 22B - Just figured it was another Subaru at first, however after completing the Trial Mountain Enduro with it, I love it.

Spoon S2000 Race Car - All I have to say is its not fast but it'll handle better than most things up against it.

Trueno AE-86 - Don't let its looks fool you, in my opinion its the best car to start out with, and you can go quite far in the game with it. Plus it was Kazunori Yamauchi's first car. :sly:

Toyota MR-S Race car. That car is awesome to drive.:)

i would have to say the civic sirII also...because they might not be the fastest cars in the game but i've had one in the game that went 200mph with only 300 something horsepower. Another car that also surprised me was the Volkswagon New Beetle RS. I always hated beetles but once i bought this one in the game i was blown away by how that car performed.

Acura RSX (had one in real life) - At 320 hp it was as fast as my 400+ ITR

Audi S4 - figured it was a slow heavy beast, but it's actually quite fun

BMW 328 - can't remember exactly which mods I had but it is one of the best sounding cars in the game and quite a good drifter.

SVT Cobra - Can be quite a good handling car with the right setup, plus the supercharger whine is cool.

Heh, fully tuned Alto Works with the biggest turbo avaliable has the worst turbo lag in the game.

Everyone underrates the MX-5 Miata. I was no exception. Light, fast, and excellent handling. I wasn't much for the 400R until I tuned it up to it's full potential. 802 HP without any oil change or modification is just berserk. It's a high powered, TURBO tuned monster that never loses. Despite having less HP than a fully tuned R34 V-Spec II, it's somehow a better car.

Yeah, cause HP is nothing... My S.S. 86 tuned to 283 HP is faster than my 480 something HP 22B STi (yes, I know its Initial D stuff there, but I was bored)

But seriously, power is only part of how a car performs...

The Mini!
A fully tuned Mini with just 178HP is plenty enough to take on Pro-league FF and I've even used it to win Rome Enduro! The Mini has the best handling FF Chassis in the game, with the possible exception of the Spoon Civic.

Spoon S2000 Racecar is definitely a surprise in the way that it handles too, easily keeps up with higher HP opposition due to phenomenal grip levels.

Denso Sard Supra JGTC. It handles so well with it's 463hp 👍 I love it!

The Integra and Civic Type R are excellent-handling FF cars, so much so that they don't feel like FFs at all. A moderately-tuned Integra surprised me by easily keeping up with Corvettes and Cobras in the Stars And Stripes event.

Also have to agree on the RX-7 RZ. Holy crap, does this thing fly. Gobs of power, and it's one of the easiest cars of its kind to control compared to the Supra, 300ZXTT, etc. This thing slides through turns like a hot knife through butter, it's just effortless. It has the pleasing momentum of the Supra with more tossability.

The Miata is a great car to start with, if you can get all golds in the B license. Once I got my DFP and restarted the game with this car, it inspired me to test drive one IRL. I now have a Miata sitting in my driveway at home. :)
