Pagani Zonda C12 or S - What every other car maker in the world bases their attempts at massive understeer on.

Standard RUF CTR2 - What pagani based its understeer on....

Full tune R34 GTR V-spec II (the steering wheel is removed in the tuning process i'm sure of it)
 
My zonda dosent understeer even a little bit. It took a bit of tuning to get it there, but damned if it wasnt worth it.

Hey! Don't diss Supras! I loved the car in GT3, even though it was a pig of a thing to drive, it was still fun by yourself!
 
A 550hp WRX set to 10% torque front, 90% rear. What a nightmare...
 
I dread the handling qualities of the Shelby Cobra...
She is meant for fishtailing and spins... Especially try a SS-11 run with it !!!

You cannot help but use the Audi TT and one of the lightweights (Mira or Alto) but I'll tell you, It's a reason to hate the game altogether !!

The pink Yaris (Vitz) hehhehe... That's another story... Odds are one'd enjoy it if she was a girl at her "sweet 16" listening to crappy "Girl Power" tapes or a guy who has an "alternative taste" (ya know...)

The Supra is a bit hard to control, so mainly I use the stage 3 turbo, which puts it around 700 hp.

RUF RGT w/ 1099 was insane, I used it for one race and won, but was sliding back & forth at 200 mph while passing Vitzs & those cars. I have 2 rufs that I use for 1/4 mile times, my best is 8.880.

Fully tuned Skyline, no problem, just need a little ASM and its fine. Also A bit of suspension tuning will help alot.
 
Hello? We're all forgetting the non-handling 1800+ hp Escudo. Only thing its good for is 2 billion mph runs and winning the Super Speedway Enduro. Forget about taking it on an actual course.
 
the new PS2 controllers are pressure sensitive...
the reason u wont control the supra or the RGT are cause you guys press the gas all the way...if u press it lightly...the rpm wont go to its max , u can control it.
i use the supra (stage 4) for every race its allowed in and i have 78.8 % if the game complete.

I used it for the rallies, even though you hit a wall on every corner it stills hammers all the competition
 
Jervinator (a GTS regular) tuned it to run quite well on road tracks.

Well having just won one and decided to take it for a spin, my candidate is...

The Panoz Esperante GT1

What a piece of junk!

I applied the stage 3 NA tune (960BHP) took it out at Laguna, and had a go at tuning it, it just wasn't happening! It doesn't feel quick, takes about three miles to slow down, and doesn't corner worth a damn. So I applied toe at +0.5/+2.0, increased the front downforce, set the gearbox to three steps into Close (from one step into Wide), and it was still gash, although slightly less so than standard.

I got down to about 1:21.5 laps, but the Oreca Viper was doing 1:18s, so I wasn't impressed. With my C5r, I was doing 1:16.8.

So there's my nomination. :D

Good point. The RUF RGT is the current fastest production car (non racing edition) you can buy in the game. I have the best times on Midfield and Laguna with it running around 1100hp. The fact that it's RR and lighter at the front helps the turn in. My brother had challenged me to the fastest production car, and he has a very quick Lotus Esprit 350 at around the same power, but comes in a few tenths behind my times.

Just take care and practice with it, no car is undrivable. Still hate the Echo/Vitz though. What the hell is it doing in here? Would have like to seen (in the small car class) Suzuki Swift GTi, VW Golf GTi, Nissan Pulsar SSS and Misutbishi Cordia GSR.

shouldn't the panoz be quicker than the oreca and C5R:thatsodd:
 
The Mustang! I have yet to find anything the 'stang can do that a Camaro can't do better... and that's just sticking near the same $$$!

I hate the Pink Vitz, but the car you should never drive is 1350hp Toyota GT1 with no driving aides, think of S-8 but twice as bad!

You are right!!!

I think that GilesGuthrie has a problem with HIS Panoz, coz mine is a LOT faster than my C5R

C5R 1000m: 0'19,738 - max speed: 362,8 km / 225 mph
Panoz 1000m: 0'17,902 - max speed: 378,0 km / 234 mph


My results on Laguna are almost identical to Giles's results, only this time the Panoz is quicker than the C5R - Which I couldn't get below 1'21,6... Which menas that by Giles's standards my C5S is a piece of junk. (Which is why I never use it)

But my Panoz was 1'15,19 :eek:

I guess the Panoz is a piece of junk IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT??!!

Me? Pissed off? :eek: Wouldn't have thought so.

Your message is interesting, and probably is a good indication of why GT3 needs to have 180 cars in it: everyone's different and everyone has different styles. For example, another member is saying in another post that he keeps getting "Time Expired" in the license tests, whereas I would normally pass the test if I managed to avoid crashing.

In the real world, the Panoz would be quicker than the Corvette, because of the differences in the classes they race in. But when fully modified, it should be about equal.

You're right CloneHead, I do have a problem with my Panoz, which is why I drive the Corvette!

But you go ahead and enjoy your Panoz. I've met the man, he's nice. :)

And you'll need to try a lot harder than that to piss me off! :D

And no, that's not a challenge! :)

I'm glad that you didn't go :mad: because we all have a right to our opinions.

A shame that we cant play this game online, would have loved a 2 player battle with you. (Or anyone else that thinks that Panoz is a piece of junk.)

I did everything to use the Panoz Esperante decently but well, I guess that ugly hulk on a Viper chassis (I dunno, I just cannot help fight the feeling that she actually a Viper twisted and mutilated by some metamorphosis disease, maybe nuclear exposure) has no will to race.

She is meant to scare away her opponents and win without even releasing the clutch in real life I suppose... She does look mean and evil but when it comes to the go, she stands watching the rest blast away !!!

Yessir she IS JUNK !! I agree with GG, the Calloway-5 Road Car (C5R) is far better.

I developed a brand new hate-list as I came further down the line earning and/or buying cars.

1- The much beloved Nissan GTR Vspec Series to my opinion are pure junk... You only hear lots of engine noise but no handling, no beefy performance, nothing... I guess she's meant to show you what the word "Rice Car" means in practice...

2- If RUF would imagine the CTT performed so poorly with cornering and negotiating the slightest curve, they would surely withdraw it from the production line !!

3- The Lister Storm V12 is something I guess which was made for a joke... I never saw so much power (maxed up to some 970 HP) sitting on the starting line before the gearbox catches !!!

4- The Lotus Elise (all series) truly SUCK !! Their only benefit is to wear tyres later than the rest... (You hardly catch up with them anyhow, so keep chasing the heck out of them into the pit and you bypass the pit lane)

5- The Griffith 500... It performs like a dream with the AI but when it's you behind the wheel, she pulls every sorts of crap out of her sleeve. A lady really loyal to her genuine lover (the AI)

6- The Tickford X8 Racer... That's a really excellent example of humor from down under !! Aussies are really humorous people who know hillarious jokes such as this one !!!

7- The BMW... I couldn't belive my eyes when I first tried out my fully beefed up BMW to see it performed as good as the Trueno !!!

8- Arrrrrrhhhh :mad: The YARIS (Vitz) !!!

9- The Altezza (phooey they even have a racing version of that crappy thing !!)

10- The S2000... How can such a high revved engine catch so low down the powerband when you shift up ?? I fiddled the crap outta the gearbox settings but still couldn't overcome that problem... Imagine: you upshift when you reach 9000+ rpm but the next gear catches from 3500 rpm or so... I thought economy gears weren't for race cars !!

11- The Castrol Mugen NSX breaks me up: check out the rear view : a typical example of "rice power" ; a pair of huge fart pipes but loooow and pooooor performance !!!

12- Although I love the Tom's Castrol Supra, I hate one habit of it : I sometimes need some extra HP (uphill or so) I upshift a bit late. When I redline, the engine cuts off and I lose some 35 kph at once !!! Try and see for yourself !! Elsewise, I LOVE this car...

13- Tuscan Speed 9... Lovely sounds, lovely performance but UGLY LOOKS !!!!!!! I would've fired the entire design team if I were the boss of TVR as soon as I saw the blueprints and clay model !!!

14- The Corolla WRC... It beats the ever living crap out of you when you challenge it but when YOU DRIVE it, it acts like a docent kitty !!!

15- I love the looks of the Astra Touring Car. But that same Astra, when frying my butt (Team Phoenix with all its flames) during the DTF Championship, sits there as if it wants to watch the rest at the grandstands as audience !!!

Well, I made it long but I guess I'll have many of you folks agreeing with me on many of these...
