The only car I've seen with a 7 speed gearbox was in the first Grand Turismo, the Viper GTS-R prize car.
 
cars with 7 gears:
1) Diablo
2) GT1 Castrol Supra
3) GT2 Mitsubishi GTO LM (supposedly).
 
The Viper GTS-R that you could win in GT1 had 7 gears as well. Freerider just said that.

I remember driving it on the test course and putting it into 7th gear and the car didn't have enough grunt (viper not enough grunt?) to accelerate so it just started to slow down. So thats how I remember it.
 
then...is that even a 7th gear, or just overdirve?
 
there is an NSX that has 7 as well.

i believe it was the castrol from the first GT.
i could be wrong....very wrong.
but I DO KNOW there is an NSX that has 7 gears

The Diablo doesnt have 7 gears. I have it, only six gears.
