Some cars in GT5 are just ruined by errors/design mistakes:yuck: I'd be using these more often if it weren't for their glaring flaws in-game:

Lamborghini Murcielago/Ferrari Enzo
Don't sound like they should; the Lambo sounds like a V10, the Enzo sounds like a V8, whereas both in real life have V12 engines:(

Dodge Viper SRT10/ACR
Again, the engine sound is terrible IMO, and the redline indicator doesn't work in-game:irked:

Ferrari F1 cars
The gearing is completely messed up, along with the gearshift time. It should be more similar to the S. Vettel X2010, with long 1st and 2nd gears.

Which cars do you guys/gals feel should be fixed quickly?

The real Dodge Viper makes a sound kind of like a UPS truck, so the one in game doesn't bother me. (my neighbor has one). One of the best sounding cars in the game is the 427 Cobra 66. I turn up the volume when I run it.

I like the Enzo.

I used the Ferrari 2010 to win the Seasonals, and I didn't notice shifting issues, so I'm ambivalent about it.

Can't surprise anyone...

Bugatti Veyron? I doubt it has so much understeer in real life.
Also, I would love to own an Enzo Ferrari that can actually brake, my goodness it's horrible to drive a car with brakes not working.

The Megane Renault Sport. So that it's the 2010 coupe, not the 2008 hatchback. :sly:

2004 Crossfire (my car in real life)... Real ones don't have the strake down the middle of the rear window and can definitely get to the 155mph limiter quicker than in the game.

Bugatti Veyron doesn't understeer in game unless you drive it wrong, i doubt in real life you would be driving it like you do in GT5. The Enzo in real life is like a wild donkey kicking its tail around, pretty much the same in the game, but its more than drivable, infact i'd say the GT5 one is probably slightly generous.

Mclaren MP4-12c, the car is too difficult and wild to drive and sounds like an electric drill. It's not a slow car with careful driving but compared to the real life car it is quite hopeless. Probably to do with PD not having any access to the car or any real life data to go by.

Both F1 cars just drive wrong and have too much grip, compare it to any of the F1 cars simulated in other games/sims and they are worlds apart, while all the other good sims of F1 cars are relatively similar to each other. The NASCAR stock cars are fairly hopeless too.

To be honest, a large chunk of the cars people want fixed in terms of driving are problems with the driver and not the car. The Enzo I hear about a lot, when to be honest they probably got that one spot on, driving wise.

As for sounds.. Most of the cars in the game don't sound right, but to be honest not many games do get the sounds right, especially when there are over 1000 cars involved.

The only games I can think of where the sounds are actually pretty good.

Dirt 2/3
F1 2010
iRacing

I think thats it.

The main one I can think of is the Enzo's brakes. They're awful. I'm very sure Ferrari wouldn't insult Enzo Ferrari's name with brakes made of what feels like paper, so they should be more effective in GT5. It's a big car, but not a heavy one.

I'm not really too fussed about wrong sounds, wrong gear ratios and the like. There's sports exhausts you can buy, adjustable transmissions, etc. So you should be able to fix the problem there yourself.

See I still disagree, I'm not alone in being able to produce better laptimes on a few tracks (nordschleife especially) than the real life Enzo. I drove the car and thought that while it was a handful and a lot harder to drive than the 458 (also true in the real world), it was still very fast. On every track I test the Enzo it provides comparable laptimes to the cars that it should be comparing to, even if it does require more control than some other cars.

I remember people complained in GT4 about the Pagani Zonda's brakes, it was an endless complaint until somebody took real world figures and compared them with the in game figures and found that infact the Zonda in GT4 was near perfect in terms of braking distances.

I'd probably enjoy the Volvo 240 a lot more if it didn't weigh 1000 pounds more than it does in real life.

Probably not the best comparison to make.

I think because all the other cars in GT5 brake so well, it gives the sense that the Enzo's brakes aren't that good. It may very well be the same as real life, but if every other car is going to get stronger brakes than their real life counterparts, shouldn't the Enzo do too?

But the other thing is that the Enzo isnt comparatively bad to other cars, i'm pretty sure i can't spell it out any clearer.

If you take a comparable car, it will perform a comparable laptime, the car is also comparable or better than the real world version. However you put it, the Enzo is not under performing.

I agree, if I remember correctly I saw a complaint in a road test that the engine pushes the car really hard even when off the throttle. I'll see if I can find it...

Exactly! What people seems to forget is that despite its notoriety- being an exclusive and expensive Ferrari, the Enzo is still a generation (or two) behind the latest supercars. The much cheaper 458 Italia is a much faster car than the Enzo (despite having a much lower top speed and raw power). On the technical track like the TG test track, the Nissan GTR is less than a second slower than the Enzo. If you want a super Enzo get the Ferrari FXX which is basically Enzo with better brakes and slick tires (among other more significant improvement over the stock Enzo).

The Furai is standard and sounds like a 2-rotor
The 787B sounds like it has a hideous miss, as well as a horrible audio-sample loop above 7,000rpm
The Viper (all models) have entirely too much ancillary noise mixed in, so they sound like vacuum cleaners
Enzo sounds like a 180* V8
Murcielago sounds like a V10
Mclaren F1 sounds like a synthesized 1980's keyboard below 3,000 revs
SLS AMG sounds like a 180* 4 cylinder
Corvettes with race exhaust sound like a 180* 4 cylinder

Of course Enzo with better brakes, Mp4-12C, Veyron, Furai, Supra RZ, Countach, Ruf, Spyker, all the Zondas (LM too) and...
TVR Speed 12 converted to premium wtf!!!
I love that car.

Good point. I always liked GT5s Enzo, eventhough it felt "like a truck" (Any oldschool F1 fan out here, who knows that quote? :D ).

IMO its just some (I tend to call them...) "poster cars " like the Nissan GTR, 458 Italia, SLS or ZR1, which are way to easy to drive, so people with medicore skills (like me) produce better lap times with them compared to cars like the Enzo.

I would prefer if they create the Buggati Veyron SS in the dealership so trolls can't enjoy it rather then make the current model premium.

I like how many people say "That car XY does not handle like it does irl" eventhough they have never driven an Enzo, 458 or the Veyron.

I've noticed this is one car engine noise most racing games will get right if it is featured in the game. The Viper's V-10 is very distinct, go on Youtube and listen to some clips if you've never heard it before. I find Forza and various recent NFS titles have gotten the Viper's sound right or fairly close in my opinion.
