Cars you would drive if they were fixed...

Some cars in GT5 are just ruined by errors/design mistakes:yuck: I'd be using these more often if it weren't for their glaring flaws in-game:

Lamborghini Murcielago/Ferrari Enzo
Don't sound like they should; the Lambo sounds like a V10, the Enzo sounds like a V8, whereas both in real life have V12 engines:(

Dodge Viper SRT10/ACR
Again, the engine sound is terrible IMO, and the redline indicator doesn't work in-game:irked:
Never had a problem with any of these cars sounds.
Odd you mention disliking the Viper's sound (which is accurate) but no mention on the adjustable downforce which undoubtedly helped it set the Nurburgring track record a while back....

Ferrari F430 Scuderia. Why does this car handle like a pile of horse menure?
I've dubbed this possibly the best handling street car in the game. ;) Love the looks and performance.

Would drive the 330 P4 more if it actually sounded like a Ferrari V12.

Street speeds, but you get the idea. Surprisingly this isn't a replica.

I haven't noticed anything wrong performance or sound wise with these cars, but the tail lights for the '86 MR2 AW11 and '83 Trueno / Levin AE86 don't light up at night. The brake lights work, which is all that really matters, but it seemed strange to me that something like that would be neglected.

To be honest, a large chunk of the cars people want fixed in terms of driving are problems with the driver and not the car. The Enzo I hear about a lot, when to be honest they probably got that one spot on, driving wise.

👍👍👍
exactly what i was thinking...

the audi r8 v10, It's just too painful to drive it (and shoot it) knowing they've done the lights and the engine wrong

try a sport suspension, if you installed a Fully custom one that's you problem. i find it that i get faster times with the sports suspention even after spending hours tuning a custom

Sound is virtually meaningless to me, I want the cars to drive right.

The Viper ACR in GT5 is not like the real car. It's missing the downforce, the balance, and even the right components. Adjustable suspension and aero should be standard. It is on other cars, so there is no excuse for the Viper.

The Saleen S7 and Speed 12 both suffer from "butter" tires. The former can't put down any power as soon as the front wheels turn by half a degree, and the latter doesn't put down power ever. It's just ridiculous that the Speed 12 can't put down as much power as a FWD economy car. It's a victim of sloppy modeling.

Ferrari F1 cars
The gearing is completely messed up, along with the gearshift time. It should be more similar to the S. Vettel X2010, with long 1st and 2nd gears.

Which cars do you guys/gals feel should be fixed quickly?

Problem isn't the cars, but the gear tuning. The level of customization on the customizable transmission is almost gimmick level. It's nearly impossible to set a race car up with proper long first gears. We should be able to move the gearing around as much as we want.

I think because all the other cars in GT5 brake so well, it gives the sense that the Enzo's brakes aren't that good. It may very well be the same as real life, but if every other car is going to get stronger brakes than their real life counterparts, shouldn't the Enzo do too?

I think the Enzo is faster than most other cars, and it can also turn faster laps than most on S1's, let alone slicks.
Driver.

I'd drive the GT-ONE and the Sauber C9 if they had a proper engine sound... they sound like absolute CRAP!!!!:scared::ouch:

The Furai is standard and sounds like a 2-rotor
The 787B sounds like it has a hideous miss, as well as a horrible audio-sample loop above 7,000rpm
The Viper (all models) have entirely too much ancillary noise mixed in, so they sound like vacuum cleaners
Enzo sounds like a 180* V8
Murcielago sounds like a V10
Mclaren F1 sounds like a synthesized 1980's keyboard below 3,000 revs
SLS AMG sounds like a 180* 4 cylinder
Corvettes with race exhaust sound like a 180* 4 cylinder

I also find the 787b sound a bit weird. I hear a clicking sound at a certain rev. But to my surprise I found the same sound in this video (listen at 01:40) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1BWv7iPFUg

I don't think that car was in a good state of tune, honestly. Listen to the recently restored, Le Mans winning car:

Butter smooth, as a rotary should be.

Also, the 787B on GT5 has actually too much power. It should be right around 700bhp, and instead it is well over 800. In the interest of realism, I've limited mine to 690bhp. I suppose they did this to make it competitive, and the engine was capable of that much power, but at a much higher RPM than the 9,000 limit in GT5.

My main annoyance is the Ferrari F10... I am a huge F1 fan and I had all the info for that car and tried to set it like the real car, but I just can't so it. the gears just refuse to sort themselves out...

I also found that the ZR1 sounds weird, and well, forget the standards... I think thr 787B is okay though, and the Enzo too...

99 out of 100 I blame my driving skills for the poor performance of a car. But the Lotus 111 doesn't drive like it use to in GT4. It is very tail happy for my liking. I had to modified it to make it work better and then I didn't like it because it was not factory stock...!!!

The R32 GTS-T Type S. One of the worst modeled cars on the game, but such a good drifter IRL. :/

Caterham Fireblade, if they fixed the engine inertia and gearing.
By the way, engine inertia (sluggish engine response in neutral, reflecting on car acceleration) and gearing are among the most common problems, or better, "bugs" for the affected cars.

I would also drive more muscle cars, if they fixed the excessive transmission noise that plagues them when fitting a racing transmission. That is unfortunately a necessary upgrade to have a top speed greater than 100-110 mph and be competitive with those cars in quasi-stock form against other ones. In alternative, they should add an option/tuning part to change the final drive only. They could at least add a "sport package" offering 5-6 selectable fixed final ratio settings and a "full customization" one working as its name states.

The 787B is actually bang on for audio, check out the latest videos of it going round Le Mans its incredibly accurate

I just posted it. I'm sorry, it isn't a good recording. It has a very noticeable 'loop' at high rpms and it is just messy in general. It's also not nearly as loud as it should be, but none of the race cars are.

Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 - No grip at all, now I know that this car is hard to drive in real life, but is it this uncontrolable?
Caterham Fireblade - Too much engine inertia and motorbike gear ratios make it unenjoyable in stock form.
Viper ACR - "Broken" rev. gauge (totally wrong redline), no front downforce (while stock) and it doesn't come on "street legal racing tires", it also doesn't have adjustable suspension.
Miura - Much faster than real life model.
Every muscle car has broken transmissions.
Audi R8 5.2 - Badly modeled, they took a V8 model and just changed the rims and data.

- Some low-displacement standards have really bad engine inetria problems.
- Some high-powered standards have really bad grip problems (lack of grip), for example Saleen S7, Pagani Zonda(s), Ruf CTR etc.

I haven't tried that car in particular, but I find that some supercars (especially standard ones) have bogus LSD settings that make them undrivable. The Cizeta V16T is a prominent example. After fitting a fully customizable LSD and setting almost all the way down the acceleration setting, it handles quite good. The lack of grip (under acceleration) you're reporting might be due to this problem.

To be fair, I'm not sure if it's really a problem, but I doubt that those cars have in real life so many problems accelerating on corner exit.

The Audi R10 TDi. It feels absolutely ruined, it accelerates weirdly, gears are wonky, it's too slow, and waaaaaaaaaay harder to drive then the 908.

It infuriates the Audi fanboy in me. I hate never driving it because it disappoints me and I hate loving the 908 because it's so damn better to drive.

PD, fix it and give me a premium R8 LMP and R18 pl0x!!!

The Megane Renault Sport. So that it's the 2010 coupe, not the 2008 hatchback. :sly:

That said, there's not a car in the game that I feel is seriously broken. There are cars I don't want to drive, but that's just because I don't like them. ;)

As for certain high-powered cars being broken (like the Enzo): I've noticed they're going a lot faster than I was thinking, hence it appears the brakes are made of poo, while in reality, I was braking way too late. ;)
