The thought actually dawned on me, I wonder if that's a real Typhoon. You could and probably still can buy the parts to turn a normal Jimmy into a Typhoon pretty handily.
That would cost way too much money. Typhoon/Cyclone parts are VERY expensive even in slightly ragged shape.
Sweet Christmas. How much money did the government put into the program?!

A mint condition GTA is worth twice as much as what the C4C program gave him; the owner was an idiot. What's the big deal? It's just a Firebird.

And I am just not interested in Firebirds so it doesn't bother me that it's scraped.
It's very possible that the GTA in question could have fallen into the "double CFC program" offered by certain dealers,$9000.00 for a GTA.I personally would have tried to sell it outright to who person who knows what this car is and it's worth in the future. You may have to sit on it for a bit,but there is a buyer out there somewhere.
Who knows, this car now is probably being turned into a door for a Cobalt or something like that.
IMO, Firebird is the awesomest car ever built by the Americans. Joey, you are stinky pants, doo doo face.
Was that so hard, JCE? Do I have your back or what?
P.S. I was wearing my Trans Am shirt just yesterday, and yes, it is awesome!

Dude, chill out. If it makes you angry enough to violate forum rules maybe you should just walk away from this discussion or just put me on your ignore list.
If you like Firebird's that's cool. I just happen to not like them so seeing one scraped out doesn't really concern me all that much. I respect your opinion on liking them, is it really so hard to respect mine for not?
The Cyclone/Typhoon was bad enough, this is just wrong.

Which is why I feel absolutely no pain for anything I've seen scrapped so far. The only car I've seen so far that I may have enjoyed having is the BMW 530i. I can easily overlook one of those in return for scrapping a crapload of, well, crap. Say what you want about "opinions" but I look at cars from a technical point of view, and bad engineering is bad engineering, regardless of personal taste. *Waits for someone to pull out some exceptions among the piles of Ford Explorers, Dodge Caravans, and Astro-Vans.*I just happen to not like them so seeing one scraped out doesn't really concern me all that much.
They can't.I sure hope someone buys that cars body and gets it back on the road.
And how did that generation work out?Except the fourth generation ones were built in Quebec.
I know, which is why I don't try arguing the point, but realizing this makes me sad.A car is more than a tool to you, but not others. Most people view cars as a tool.
I really hate it when it is some stupid government program that is supposed to boost the economy and help the environment, yet fails at booth and only succeeds in spending money taken from my paycheck.
