Tuning? No Tuning?
Tires?
Possible race lengths?
Pit stops required?
Any oddball rules you're thinking of like ballast penalties?

I'm not a fan of limited tuning I must admit. I'd rather just pick an HP target and let guys tune to it any way they see fit. There is no way to really police what parts are added other than turbos and no way to police the amount of engine limiter used which flattens out the power curve dramatically. It's just too easy for guys to cheat the system and gain an untraceable advantage.

Nevermind. Found the answer to my question son.

Check the link for the Regulations. I didn't see it at first either but it's all there.

I got a question for the OP, in the regulations it says small bumps are ok. I would like you to clarify and make some ground rules because small bumps should never be "ok", though they shouldn't result in consequences in most cases. The problem with saying they're okay, is people won't know exactly what's considered a small bump

Plus, even a tiny bump while trying to pass someone on the inside of a corner, is unacceptable. It can send that person off the track, and even if it doesn't, it's a dirty pass, and it can take a ton of that cars momentum away. I really hope this type of "pushing" pass on the inside isn't allowed because I'm gonna have to leave this league if so. I can't stand dirty inside passes.

Also, I think that if someone does make contact while passing, they should obviously concede it (allow the person to pass them back at a safe point in time, ASAP)

All this is why I think you should just go by the GTP OLR. it clears a lot of things up, and most people are used to using it. THat way there's no arguments over what's a rule, and how a rule is defined.

I don't mean to tell you how to run a league, I'm just hoping you'll take my advice about keeping the racing clean, because I'd really like to be a part of this. If I could, I'd seriously race caterhams every single night

Like Tom mentioned above, I don't want to tell you how to run your league either, but I'm not really interested in joining anything that isn't run under GTPlanet Racing Rules or something similar. Vague rules with multiple interpretations usually lead to poor quality racing in my experience and the racing rules here are both vague and very brief.

If you decide to adopt GTP Racing Rules I'll have another look at it later.

Not meaning to come across as arrogant but I've run almost every other series that I've organised this way. You can't go an entire season without contact so this is a fair compromise, any incidents that people have complained about will be reviewed by myself and I will take action where appropriate. But thank you for the tips, if people do not like the series being run this way, so much so that it affects entries then I will consider taking an alternative route.

No problem Tom, good luck with the series, looks promising, it's just not for me then.

Might be interested, been a while since I last raced in GT5. If I have enough motivation and the races are fairly short, I may sign up.

I want to join but my car is modified

I was up for this but it now clashes with another series which is looking promising :ouch:

This is the problem using standard cars, there not easily avaliable

I can send everyone one who can't find it.

G'warn, it'll be good. :sly:

For those who have tuned cars, you can remove all the parts for the Cat 7. I also have every color of Caterham from the OCD, so they're already broken in.

I'd love to race with you again Tom, but I have a series at the same time as this one :(

Let me put it this way, are dirty passes allowed in corners? Meaning if any contact is made in a corner while passing on the inside, will that warrant a penalty, if a contact concession is not given?

Also, do you even tell people to give contact concessions?

Taking care of incidents after a race is not good form unless there's a dispute to who's at fault. Making sure people give contact concessions when they know or think they may be at fault is the only way to keep things from escalating into a forza 4 still bumper cars race

Mate, it's essentially like the Touring Car rules for TOCA on here. Slight contact is allowed, such as a warning bump to alert people that they're there. But deliberately rear-ending someone is not allowed, as is contact that can put someone of the circuit or the wall.

Good luck with this Tomo great little car shame it dont fit in with me time wise:grumpy: Have faith in young Tom the guy knows what he's doing try and relax and enjoy it i dont know a series on here that cant promise some minor rubbing..👍

HELLO!

Me want a Fireblade please, hope it's not reserved. :sly:

Put me down for a pink one.

I have run in a few of Tom's leagues, and I guess I have never noticed that people drive different because there is no "GTP Rules" in place. Tom runs a tight ship, always great series, I would recommend you give it a try. 👍

Thanks for the kind words guys. 👍

All entries have been added, don't forget about teams. There'll be a constructors battle as well as a drivers one you know. :D

Not that I doubt you Bdub, but giving someone a bump to let them know you are there seems kind of amateurish when you have a track map you can look at and a horn. I don't recall ever needing to make contact with anyone to either make a pass or let them know I'm there. It's that kind of stuff that scares me away from a series, it's just too vague. One man's bump is another man's illegal pass. If you can't hold your line in a corner and give another guy space, then you shouldn't make the pass.

Meh, I always drive by the OLR, even if a series states otherwise.
