Hi guys.

I have an issue with following error: ce-222032. It's impossible to play GT7.
Does anyone know what to do, because I can't even see the GT7 game menu.
I already reinstalled the game, restored PS5 to the default, removed all save games and still I have this error.

Any help is appreciated.

Check if you have turned auto update off on your console. It's possible the game requires an update but can't/isn't triggering due to a lack of internet or settings.

GT7 needs to be online all the time and always running the latest version.

Failing that, try resetting your router.

I am getting this error when applying a livery or trying to save a style. The rest of the game works fine. The livery won't apply (it hangs on 30% before error code shows). Old liveries will apply even after the error code but new ones that I create or modify won't. I am not sure if this started before or after the latest update. First noticed it while trying to save a livery for the Suzuki Carry.

As the error code relates to connectivity and the livery editor is heavily dependent on network environment, have you tried this?

I'm currently playing from China. It very well may be a new issue with the GreatFirewall. My internet speed is 900+mbps (wired) and I play in leagues in the US and Australia without any real issues. I had some errors with Cloud synch recently even though my console and Cloud storage is below half or less.

That's absolutely a possibility.

The first part of that isn't super-relevant, as speed (bandwidth) doesn't really matter. Well, not once you're above about 5Mbps, unless you're sharing a router with other networked devices of course.

I'd suggest the steps in the linked thread nonetheless.

Tried the stuff tinkering with I.P. adressess (with help from some techy friends) as suggested, cleared cache from safe mode, and rebuilt database all after a full reinstall. The error code persists and I still cannot make new liveries. I get the error code applying existing styles telling me it failed but it manages to apply them anyway. I just can't save new styles that I create or even apply apply liveries not yet saved as styles.

Hi. I’m getting the same problem with the liveries. They stop loading at 30%; then the error is shown. I’ve started playing recently, so I haven’t experienced any problems other than this. I’m mentioning that because I’m also playing from China.

It all works again using my PS5 while visiting The Philippines. It must be related to the servers in my part of Chengdu, China. ~Expat

Well, Chengdu or Shanghai doesn’t seem to matter, it’s the great firewall. So, we need to take our equipment and go abroad to update liveries.
Thanks a lot for the update. Then I can probably save myself the time for reinstalling GT7.

I'll be back in China next week. I am worried the problem will resurface when I return. Is there some way to contact Polyphony regarding their China cloud servers? When I am in China all the support hub stuff switches to Chinese and I can't read enough Mandarin to navigate.

I was in contact with the (German) PlayStation support, but they couldn’t help much. Which Polyphony support site are you referring to. I can have a look if (with some help from friends) I can navigate through.

The primary issue would be that it doesn't have any Chinese servers. It doesn’t really work like that.

Moreover, Kazunori Yamauchi recently stated (at GTWS London) that he was surprised how many GT fans there are in mainland China as the game isn't officially supported in China. It is, I'm told, supported in HK - and we have of course seen GTWS finalists from HK.

And yes, the Great Firewall is also the issue.

Chengdu, Sichuan province, and Shanghai are also quite far from HK. You can make a China 🇨🇳 account nowadays. It wasn't possible years ago when I lived in Zhuhai and had to buy my PS3 in Macau, but still couldn't access online content inside the mainland. I don't have a China account because my foreigner ID card doesn't have the same number of digits on it as a Chinese national, so I can't register a local account. I still have an HK account that I made while living in Vietnam 🇻🇳. My Indonesian and USA accounts were stuck in offline mode when I left China. They updated while on summer holidays in The Philippines. Tomorrow I find out if they will work again in China when I return to work. This is important to me as my liveries were mostly done on my Indonesia account and it the one I used for league racing.

Physical distance is immaterial. In essence, if you have a public IP address in mainland China, you're out of luck.

I wouldn't say out loud and in public that a VPN could be a solution. Just so you know.
