Well, if it's Jordan's House Rules, because it's Jordan's House, then he's free to legally censor whatever he wishes. You're free to join or to ignore the forum altogether. And if he were truly doing an awful job of it all, then nobody would stick around.
However, "Censorship" (with a big "C") is toughie. You do have imagine what content you'd like others to see. I'm sure you don't say anything and everything to a 3-year-old that's starting to repeat every darn thing it hears? We don't want to give away military strategy that could possibly be intercepted? There's a point for not saying somehting...
Now, think about what sorts of content whould make a certain medium "appropriate"...if one person is allowed to get away with something, then everyone ought to be able to, to make the rules fair. It depends on the level of chaos or class you expect out of that medium.
Do you want the local news to show you photos of bloody accident victims, or would you rather have them show you an agle that's more distant? How about coarse language; would we really be better off if every Top 40 hit had ****, ****, and b*tch in every lyric? Does "pillow talk" between Hollywood actors need to be part of daily news? I could go on...
Now, I think censorship should start at home, but it should also be addressed in every household. You can't tell Little Johnny "Don't say those words, or else!" if he hasn't a clue what they mean. I say, there's lots to educate a child or teenager about, keeping and interested child "in the dark" about issues like drugs, sex, bodily functions, religion, etc. should be addressed when the child asks. I think, hiding these sorts of things under a rug only makes it worse.
