Cerbera Speed 6 - where?

I bought a red one and a blue one. Never raced them, just like the look of them. Plus they are the first cars I've purchased where my wife made unsolicited comments about how good they look.

after hearing you guys talk about that cerbera 6...i am hoping that orange one is still in the used car lot. I think i will go buy it. I was going to wait and buy a speed 6, I feel i am submitting to peer pressure. "All the cool kids got one"

As for you guys that like black wheels...I am on the same page. In GT3 like all my cars had the black O.Z.'s with the yellow logo on the bead of the wheel. I have loved that wheel since GT2, but on 4 its modeled better and you can tell its mean for a smaller car, not a big wheel.

For myself I found the Blackpool races impossible to win in anything less than the Speed 12. I don't want to upgrade my cars to unrealistic levels, and my 395bhp Speed 6 got absolutely tonked by the 12 on any reasonably straight bit! Beating the others was no big deal, but second place don't win you a car.

I beat this whole series in a stock Tuscan. It can be done. You do have to play a little dirty with the Speed12 on two tracks though.

Does anyone know if TVR sells Tuscans in the US? I have yet to find any, I found one single auction on ebay for an old TVR, but I'm considering buying a Tuscan, I'd like one of the newer ones though.

The Real 6C: Go buy the Cerbera, it's worth it! :D It's in serious danger of becoming my favourite car, not just favourite TVR.

Pungent: Hmm, a stock Tuscan you say? Might have to give that another go when I've got one. <strokes beard thoughtfully>

I think TVR are looking to try and penetrate the US market but haven't done so far...

However as it's a fairly low yield company I'd imagine if you fired their marketing department an email they would be more than happy to arrange some kind of shipping... Although I suspect that you'd probably want to come to the UK to test drive the beast and choose your colour first?

A Stock Tuscan can clear the Backpool races for sure. Go and get one, it drives a bit better than a Cerbera or Griffith.

However, my favor is still the Cerbera in MACAU yellow, which was the colour of the TVR recing team that made 1,2 & 3 finish in a super car (Ferreira & Porsche were there) race taking part at the GUIA circuit in Macau by early '90.

Yep, completely stock. It was a lot of fun, earns you quite a bit in Aspec points too. It is a challenge, like I said on two tracks it is difficult against that Speed12, but the challenge (and bragging rights :) ) were enough to make me keep at it. Just watch out for the SS Route 5, I had to play dirty and, uh, 'nudge' the Speed12 to stay in the lead on that one. On the last straight don't let him pass you, that is where he gets you. Course you could get lucky and have no Speed12 in the race, it isn't always on the grid.

I still hate that rolling start crap though, some tracks had that and that made it harder than it should have been. Rolling starts should have only been on races where you could qualify first. Not letting you qualify then making you try to catch everyone on a rolling start ticks me off in this game.

Hmm, this is true, I'm sure they'd arrange something. Might have to put that off for later in the year, take some time to convince the wife. A trip to the UK would be fun as well, I've never been there.

I managed it in a stock Cerbera, I forget is the TVR cup a single race thing or a championship? I remember mainly having trouble on Fuji Speedway 05, because the Speed 12 got to stretch it's legs on that straight. SSR5 I don't seem to have trouble with, it's my home track seeing as it's been my favorite made up one since the first GT.

I agree with the rolling start thing, I swear if you start in last place you seem to end up with a bloody massive gap between me and the 5th place car and all the AI cars seem to just shoot away.

i went to buy that 6 at the used car lot and it was gone!! Those ________(people born out of wedlock)!!! Now I have to figure out when it'll be back. I really liked that orange color too.

edit- I also hate those rolling starts in GT4. On a real rolling start the rule is usually not to pass before the designated spot, it doesn't require you to stay at a slow pace. When the leader picks up the throttle, you do the same.

Thanks for your help guys, I'll keep looking out for it. :)

Chris

It first appears in Week 11 (days 71-77), In the Used Car "Late 90s" list (39,940cr). Of course, that's PAL only... :D

Have one now thanks Famine. In a very nice shade of Chameleon Blue.

Cool avatar by the way! "You're no son of mine, you freak, you spring boy!"
