I dont get to play GT5 as much as I'd like to these days, but I keep seeing competitions with the same boring old Indy veterans(cars). Is it so hard to go outside of your comfort zone and try a car not used regularly? Something that might test your abilities. A car that makes you scratch your head and wonder what youre doing wrong. This car will help you get started, its not too difficult but its a step in the unique direction.

EDIT: The times posted by myself in this thread are not for any leaderboards on this site or any other. It is an attempt to coerce others into tuning cars they normally wouldn't. I also use a DS3 controller, for comparison against the wheel users.

Its interesting tuning a car for which there is no leaderboard record.

Don't know when to stop messing with it
 
Nah I just haven't had the spare time. I got this broken in and had a half hour tune on it, but I've got a pickup in the morning so I have to turn in. Hopefully it will inspire some to think outside the box.

Yes there is a few,
Midget... Some cars are meant to be a joke.
X1..... Only because they are insta-kick material
race cars like the Minolta (fax machine on wheels)..... No interest from anyone else.
 
Please tell me you can win this car in a-spec or b-spec. 20 mil? I don't think so. Lol
 
Id tune it if i had one, would be interesting.

The 1965 b-day ticket will get it too. I got a few classic racecars that way.
 
No takers so far? I know SmokeN is workin on it but I'd have thought someone would post by now. Maybe we need something harder..
 
ill have it done tomorrow, need to break in.

I got to thinking about your post last night. I spent a few minutes and updated the tune because the old one used too high of ratios. Its a quick adjust so it can probably be improved.

Slower. About 150kg heavier and AWD makes the low horsepower bog bad. Might be a good challenge :sly:
 
Well I took the VW 1200 66 from a 16.3 second car in the 1/4 mile to a 12.720 second car. My previous time before I messed with it today was 12.89 on a good shift. Just one of the few cars most people wouldn't tend to mess with that I decided to play with. Just got it a few tenths of a sec faster at 12.715. Top that,almost five seconds faster without tuning it.

Is that the DLC beetle or the one that came with the game? I know the newer AWD bug is pretty quick too.
 
Not even a taker on the Kubel? You guys can post times even if they arent faster than mine.. just to prove you tried.
