This is the new, and I promise final version of what our second season will look like. Ony clarifications and any necessary adjustments will be made

The Goal

In Gran Turismo 2 there are four cities in simulation mode.
What we would be doing here our races to determine the best city (you do not have to be of that city in order to represent it).

How it works

Every week the racers of one city will face off against other members of the same city; this will be done simultaneously for 16 rounds in each city. There will be a final 4 rounds among the 4 champions of each city. The final 4 overall championship races will have the 4 racers using one car to respresent one city, then another car to represent another city, and so one.

In the event of a tie, the winner with more points from his city championship will be the overall winner. If the city champoinship points are also tied, than the better race finish between the tying city champions will determine the overall winner.

Rules/requirements/extra

Standard racing rules apply: Two wheels on the track at all time. The rumble strip counts as part of the track. No wall riding/bouncing

You must register for a city, and only 1 city.

You may only race in the city championship you register for.

There will be no teams this season.

All cities will race on the same course per round.

Correction. The increasing of allowed modifications begins with the second round of the city championship races, not at the overall chmpionship races.

Hey fellas ...... I'm back and ready to race. I've been hangin out with Gary for the past month fine tuning my skills a bit, so lets get it on.

Talentless, when can I sign up?

Now if you want, but the races won't start for a bit. All you need to do is pick a city.

I'll definitely sign up.....just have to give the "which" city thing a big think

think long and well:lol: but the north city has the most underrated vehicle in the game; VW. Hopefully I'll be able to change that image and convert a few drivers at the same time;)

I'll take East city if you get enough interest.

You may not race in other city championships.

All that is supposed to mean is that you may only race in one city, not multiple cities.

I'll clarify the rule.

If we can get at least two, though I'd prefer 3, entrants per city, we can proceed with the cars. The amount of rounds may be reduced depending on some factors. Most likely, I'll select cars by choosing among the manufacturers of a city in a clockwise method.

Hi guys,

Ive been around this forum for some time, but now im finally registerted. And ready for some competition:D always wanted to race against other GT2 players. I aint got a PS2 (yet) right now ive got a Gamecube but there are hardly any racers, so im prolly gonna wait for the PS2 + GT4 pack and buy it. Anyway bit off topic, but back to the topic ill pick the North City. Lotus, TVR ^^

This is on the honor system, right. I don't have any way to send pictures or anything like that.

It's the honor system. Some times could be questionable, if that issue comes up, we can review it.

Though I'd intended an escalating scale, for a variety of reasons I've decided for the use of the best power to weight ratio system. It's not original or as diverse, but it is much more convenient. I've limited the cars to buyable ones from dealerships. Use only those versions, not prize cars.

also, the rounds are done alphabetically, based on manufacturers names. when all manufacturers have had one race, it starts over. so acura, for instance, races 3 times.

Talentless,
I hate to sound lame, but the only "mod" that can be made to the cars you've chosen are tires, with exception of the Toyota GT-ONE Road Car.

Or are we gonna have "assigned settings" to keep the "super-tuners" from getting too big an advantage.
