Hey guys:

Just a quick question, is it possible to change my main handle without making a new account?

What if a buy a lifetime of Premium? :dopey:

Your handle? You mean the part that says "GTP Addict" for you and "Ruggedly handsome" for me (hey, I really am, alright?)?

I'm pretty sure that while purchasing Premium will allow it, you get the ability to change it once you reach a set number of posts. I believe it's 1000, so you're (nearly) halfway there.

I think he means his username, which you can only have changed if you are a premium member.

Yes, you may only change your username if you buy Premium. Sometimes, the moderators can shut down your account and let you re-register, but you'll have to speak to one of the admins (Jordan, Famine, Duke) first.

Yes, my username. Sweet, thanks for the quick response. I'm not interested in doing so at the moment, but I was curious for future reference.

To be crystal clear: If I buy Premium (which is probably going to happen eventually), I can change my username from "ViLLaiN" to anything I wish (within AUP regulations, of course).

To anything you wish within the bounds of the AUP and so long as it hasn't been taken by another member, even a zero-posting one.

And Jordan's the one to PM.

even a zero-posting one.
Didn't Jordan change that rule slightly a while back such that if the zero-posting member hasn't logged in in six months (or something), you can have the username?

Keep in mind, though, if you use this option then you lose your posting history etc, because as far as the board software is concerned, you're an entirely separate person.

Yes, the user must have been inactive (not logged into their account) for more than 2 years and have less than 20 posts.
