Chaparral 2j for 1/4 mile?

Being that I do not have one yet I was wondering if the 2j would hold it's own in the 1/4 mile. Even though it has only three gears I can't help but think all that suction would make for decent launches with some work. I don't race 1/4 mile so I don't know if it's common or not but has anyone tried it?
 
Don't have the car but would be interesting to see how it does.

Power? Weight?

EDIT: 704 hp, 821 kg. That's reads 'beast' in English. :D

With the turbo it should be more like 800 hp. I'm gonna go get a 70 ticket right now and see how it does.
 
It gets 808bhp and 821kg. But it has 653pp at max because it has no aerodynamic downforce and that isn't adjustable. But gt5 forgets that its a sucker car. I wouldnt recommened it for drags. It takes ages to get going and i always loose about 2 places at the start of a race because it is so slow off the mark. If it was a rolling start drag race it would destroy everything
 
Not for drags PERIOD........(acceleration issues, from 1st)

But drifting....... That's another story, I got over 10k in sector mode on tsukuba with it! LOL!

Update: I just got one and brand new with the turbo it does 89 mph at the first banner and 162 at the second one. I'm sure that with a good drag tune it would brake 165.

You need to consistently keep 15 mil in the UCD, I got. 70 ticket from someone and that day It popped up in the UCD so I bought it instead, but I'm booked on trades for awhile so I can't give it to you, but If you try the marketplace I'm sure you can find one

I don't think it would be any good considering it has a very slow launch but with some transmission tweaking it could possibly do alright.
 
Well, it would add diversity in the drag rooms, so if you like the car, go for it.
