Hi, please exscuse my novice approach as I am new here...

Sorry if this is a reacurring question, but I'm keen to complete the B spec Seasonal on la Sarthe (having done Spa thanks to other posts on here) and reading up, seems the only way to really succeed is with the 2j... and I cannot for the life of me get one! I have been constantly checking my ucd and there are new cars cycling through, but not a dam 2j, and the seasonal is soon going to expire! :grumpy:

Anyone have the same problem or any help as to how I can get hold of this hotpoint machine on wheels?

You can keep looking in the UCD, or ask any of your PSN friends if they could put one on borrow for you to use.

Thanks, as I had dreaded then... gotta grind out some quick races and just keep on checking, fingers crossed before 1st Feb!

The problem with the 2J is a catch-22 issue: you usually don't win one 'til you have one, by which time you no longer need one!

Several of us are sharing ours online, so feel free to hit us up and use 'em to win. I know a few people have dropped me messages afterwards saying that they then won... a 2J!
 
I used the Toyota GT1 & won easily enough following Famine's guidelines in the link above, changed the gearing to max speed 240mph, full downforce. I started on Racing Hards, pitted at the end of lap 2 for Racing Intermediates then again at the end of lap 8 for a fresh set of Racing Intermediates. I kept my Bob's at about 65% in the temperment meter. Good luck
 
I used a Toyota GT-ONE and just kept my driver about 60-80% hot. Of course I also used a level 40 driver, so I suppose that helped.
 
This setup worked for me:

Audi R8 team playstation w race hard tyres
Aero 45, 55
Top speed 400kmh/249mph
Pit laps 2,7 (For race Intermediate tyres)

Thanks for your help guys, yea I have been having a read on the guides posted which are all great for slight noobs like me.

Im gonna try the alternatives with the r8 & GtOne and see how I get on, my bob is lvl 38 at the moment so should be ok if I keep him in line... Just the illusive 2j is teasing me... and as outragously ugly (imo) as it is, I kinda want one for the garage! :)
 
I saw a UCD page about 10 days ago with both Chaparrals on it. As a slot car racer in the 1960s I raced a 2D, 2H and 2J at one time or another and really would like to get the two available to complete my 1960s fleet. Also how's about a 2H in the future?

Sadly, I'd just bought the Ferrari 330P4 so was broke and unable to buy either. Since then I've been running the Madrid 650pp Online race over and over again to win 0.8m credits a pop (Double payout.) to get them both, checking the UCD every 5 races. The 2D came up on Thursday but the 2J has not turned up at all.

Anyone any idea how often they pop up in UCD?

I'm quite good at Madrid now but frustrated that the damn 2J just will not show. On the plus side I spend money as I get to 20 million and have some really nice cars. I have just bought the Bentley Speed 8, very nice but not a 2J.

Been browsing some threads and seems a quick way to cycle the ucd is to go into a licence test, scroll 'next' 5 times without doing the test and u'll have a fresh new list of cars! :) I'm gonna give it a whirl later me thinks!
 
Yes I've done that too. But earning the money has to be done. AND I'm enjoying the Madrid circuit, at last, it took me a while to sus' that the Driving Line for the last chicane is not as fast as using the RH lane on the approach and flip/flopping the chicane on the kerbs for the barriers. .
 
You can't find out one even in the dealership for Hot cars in the game? I suppose the only way to beat the event is use an alternative car to the Chaparral 2J after tuning the car to meet the minimum requirement of limit of horsepower, in light of urgency and cost...

This wins it for me almost every time. Let me add: slow your BOB down going into the Mulsanne Kink on laps 1, 2, 8 , 9 and 10. :)
