Cheap But Fast

define "cheap"
I would say any of the race cars you win would be considered cheap, and more often than not they are fast

A Miata is cheap and has go-fast potential.

The Evo VII RS and S2000 are also *very* cost effective --as they are IRL.

Same for the LT1 based Camaro Z28. I think this is perhaps one of the most underrated cars in Gran Turismo.

IMO, the Corvette Z06 is the best bang for the buck performance car in GT3 and IRL. Its not 'cheap'... but blows away pretty much anything in its price range. There's huge room to grow and its very responsive to mods.

SVT cobra. If I remember correctly it is under Cr.30,000. With high 300's HP stock it is definately fast. And you'll have some money to upgrade it. Give it an NA stage 2, new tires, new muffler, racing chip, etc. and it will treat you well.

Go with a nice... Trueno GT-Apex. :p

I'll agree with ZZII here (even though I don't support Fr0d :p), the 'Stang is a high quality cheapie that is fairly fast.

But a stock NSX with still outstrip it, I have discovered.

The Nissan Skyline V-Spec II(i think thats what its called),its not "cheap", but i had it up to 700hp with only like a stage 3 turbo, racing intercooler and racing exhaust.that can beat pretty much every other car in the begginer league.

And for later in the game, when u get more money, the viper gts is good.its only $76,000,and i had it up to 1000 sumthin hp with only a stage 4 turbo and a few other things.

Well by far the best bang for your buck is the Corvette Z06. There really isn't any debating that either. For $54,000, you cannot find another car that will run with the Z06 . . . period.

I like the Lancer Evo 7 for "bang for the buck" It's quick, handles well, and it's ugly.
The EVO 6 RS is lighter, handles better, but isn't quite as quick.
Another "cheapie" that delivers once souped up is the Opel Speedster. It's BEAST, at full power.

Well speaking in terms that this is a GAME, and it's very EASY To get 3,000,000 dollars, i'd say every car is cheap besides Tom's Supra, the Mugen NSX, and a couple other sponsored cars.

thats what ive been say n for a while!! its very true check it out! its only $21k handles very good and is very fast too.

YA!!!! GIL!!!

SPEEDSTER is a fantastic car... but it must be at full power... which no longer makes it bang for the bucks youve put into it... :(

vx220....
hauls ass!
its light weight
easy on tires too

depends on what you have to spend...

svt cobra is a mighty car for its price too

Too bad Gran turismo follows the stict factory guidelines. You know since LT1's are probably they most prone to have "freak cars" so to speak as compared to any other model car ever made. It's sad, but good in it's own respect.

For $13,550, the Trueno is by far the best bang for the buck, but due to the fact that the 1993 Miata gets a ridiculous power boost from a Stage 1 Turbo, the Miata's a better car if you just want something to keep for a few races, win a better car, then sell without fully upgrading.

If you're talking about cheap cars to get later, well, the best bang for the buck is the F094/S. It's free, and the race that gives you the F094/S also gives you $950,000. It's a ridiculous cheap race to enter, too, since you don't need to pay for upgrades.

If you want to be mathematical about it, the best bang for the buck is the Z28, which is just $77 per base HP.

too many people think hp is everything... hp or torque per weight per credit would be much more informative when it comes to cars...

hear, hear, as for that i wouldn't go with an american car but with the Mitsu FTO-gt... loved it in GT2, still love it in GT3... i think i'm gonna buy it in some different colors.... newver seen one over in Holland IRL tho...

the viper you have to n/a tune it there is no turbo tuning for it:)
but i take it thats what you meant

I reckon the Miata will eventually give you great bang for buck if you have under about 40,000...but again it depends on how much you're limited to.
