checkpoint beep noise??? please help

Hey everyone I'm new here. Been a GT fan since the ps1 original... Anyways all of a sudden every time I pass the start line or checkpoint(where it shows you how far ahead or behind you are) and once the race is over it plays a single beep noise which is very annoying! I just got the big update today and only thing I've changed is play my own personal bgm menu music (I still use standard race music) has anyone else experienced this beep noise? I can't make it go away. Any help is appreciated
 
check point beep definatley was not there just did the update last night and was the very first thing i noticed if it was there it was no where as loud
 
Check your settings.

I turned it off when I started the game (release day) and have never heard it since.

It's music settings, I'm not sure which one.

It was there. People were moaning about it on day one. Seriously, it's a beep, get over it.
 
When i'm racing, I rarely notice the beep anymore. I've never found it so annoying that I have to turn it off.
 
The beep noise is annoying, it even carries on doing it after you turn all the HUD off too, lmfao! If I can turn it off by turning the FX sounds to 0 then all well & good, I'll have to try that.

Aww dam! Lol thanks for the replies, and I know its just a beep but seriously why? I do find it annoying. I never noticed it before the update but I guess there's nothing I can do
 
I actually quite like the beep. I noticed it straight away when I played my first game and thought that it was a nice addition from the previous GT versions.

One one track (I think it's Rome) the sector beep is my brake marker in some cars :D
