Basically you add in 1st to whatever you do normally. In my case I have a quick shift 2nd to 3rd so instead of a single shift right after launch there are two really quick shifts (double tap). If you have a normal 2nd to 3rd you would change from 1st to 2nd immediately after launch then carry on as normal. It's crucial to make the change towards the end of the rev sweep, but before it bounces of the limiter. I also have 1st and 2nd far left... don't know if it's needed though.
Even now it sounds like you're saying the only reason people are faster than you is because you play circuits more than drags and tune more cars than everyone else?
