As some people may not know this film, i will do a brief plot summary for you.

Set in England in the not so distant future, the world is, well screwed basically. Women have become infirtile & thus the world we live in is collapsing. Frequent bombing's, all the "fugees" being rounded up & deported. Clive Owen is kidnapped by ex squeeze Julianne Moore and asked to help get a "miracle" girl out of England and to the Future project (I think it was called).
Its a very bleak look at the future.

This is a very good film. It may have a few plot whole's here and there & some things are rather annoyingly not explained. But its otherwise very good. Clive Owen, is brilliant as the scruffy lead, Julianne Moore is gorgeous & good at her part. but it's Michael Caine thats stills the show as an ageing hippy. And whoever the girl who played Key (spelling?) was, i imagine will be up for awards soon. Along side possibly an award for direction........

After seeing the slightly dissapointing Departed, this just seemed like a much more brave & adventurous film. It was shot much better, almost De Palma ish with all the long swooping shots that last a long time. The action sequences are so well done, you really feel in there. There very war film-esque, more battles than "action sequences". You frequently follow every step of Clive Owen's character & you often feel the fear & tension he feels, when he's thrust into these situations.

The only bad thing about this film, was its sudden ending. Very annoying. It has some good twists & is beautifully (if thats the right word) shot.
8/10

Plot spoilers below.

I agree with most of that, I saw this film a week ago, it was well worth seeing imo. Clive Owen was great, Julianne Moore could have been in it for a bit longer but overall the biggest gripe I had was that sudden ending. You never actually found out if the future project was real or not or if that ship really was just a fishing/cargo ship (can't remember which). As for Michael Caine, what can I say, "pull my finger" BANG. He was superb in it. I thought they could have added another 15-20 mins to the film, lenthend the ending and had a bit more explaiing going on about certain parts of the plot.

...I must say that I am very interested in this film, but it has yet to debut here in the US, or atleast not to great fanfare. I had origionally seen the trailer preceeding the film "Miami Vice," and to be honest, I have no memory of the release date here in the US.

I think once again it is another "thinker" movie that is going to cause a bit of a stir. It is a good thing to have movies such as this happen every once in a while, and I'm very excited to see it once it hits theatres around these parts!

Dont read this if you havent seen the film, Spoilers:

The Julianne Moore twist was very good. As was the end "twist", but the sudden ending was very annoying. Films that do that always are.

I wouldnt call this a thinking film, it dosent require much thinking. Plus if you thought about it to much, you'd probably find alot of plot-holes.

Still really good though & i already want to see it again.
